We booked a 3 bedroom chalet for the January period several months ago. Without warning this booking has been cancelled because 'the owner has sold the property'. No other accommodation is available at the Resort. No help has been offered. The care factor of the reception staff is 0. We are now left scrabbling to find accommodation that will suit... More

even though a little out of town it is quiet and away from hussell and bustle of Rotorua, and will need a car but most attractions easy to get to. all units are modern and well maintained with all conveniances including full kitchen and laundrette.

We stayed a couple of nights recently in school holidays and rented a two bedroom, two story place overlooking one of the canals. It was freezing outside but the place was very warm with plenty of heaters and blankets- we even visited the spa pool! The configuration worked really well for us as we cooked both nights and stayed home... More

Great location. Stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment overlooking the waterways. Everything you need apart from decent kitchen equipment so come prepared with an electric pan. They have a restaurant onsite but no advertising in the rooms. Nice spa area and pool although a little cold to swim in the pool. Also has a very basic gym area. Would be... More

Stayed 2 nights in a 2 Br deluxe apartment. Location being about 20 mins from Rotorua central means a vehicle is needed. And you need to think about food and beverages as there are limited options locally. Master bedroom bed was comfortable. However, comfort would be enhanced by installing a topper pad/layer to give that extra luxury feel. Kitchen well... More

Stayed here for 6 nights in June with the in laws who are members of Wydham vacations. Great location, approximately 20 minutes from Roturua itself. A car is a must if staying here, and consider shopping for your food and alcohol in town before checking in. There is a cafe on site however we did not visit. Stayed in the... More

We booked this resort due to proximity to Rotorua center. Travel is about 15 mins to city centre. If you have a car and you wanted a quiet environment throughout your stay then this is the place for you. The rooms are spacious enough with all the cooking facilities you need. All rooms are individually equipped with a heater. Accommodation... More

Too far out of town to be convenient could have done with a good inspection of the bugs in the lamp shade and not all the light bulbs worked. Not really a resort! ! If you stay give yourself 1/2 hour to get back into town and don't forget to take your own food.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rotorua is truly like no other destination. It's a fascinating mix of culture, adventure and relaxation. Renowned for being a hotbed of thermal activity, Rotorua's hot springs and spas make it the perfect getaway for pampering, stress-release and rejuvenation. At the same time it's also a place where you can truly get the heart pumping. Adrenalin-raising adventures punctuate the Rotorua landscape from thrilling luge rides, white water rafting and even rolling down a hill in a giant translucent ball (zorbing). If all that's not enough for you, then you also have an area rich in Maori history and culture and friendly locals to walk you through it all. Located just 20 minutes outside the city to ensure your getaway is relaxing, WorldMark Resort Rotorua is the perfect base for whatever brings you to this simply wonderful area of New Zealand. With apartments sleeping 4-6 people in 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and lodges (utilising double sofa bed in living room), your stay will feel like your home-away-from-home. Located on the edge of the lake, the resort offers beautiful views right over the Ohau Channel. You can kayak your way back to your room or picnic at the parklands located right within the resort. If fishing is more your thing you'll be in heaven - the area is rich in fisheries and you'll be able to throw in a line from one of the various resort banks. The apartments include all modern conveniences, with the resort also boasting outdoor swimming pool, heated spa, gymnasium and a tennis court. ... more   less
