We family ( husband with 2 young boys)recently stayed here for the weekend and had the most amazing time. The resort is about 20 minutes out of Rotorua city and is very relaxing and quiet. It felt to get back after a day of adventure and just put our feet up - without the scent of sulphur (synonomous) with Rotorua... More

We stayed in a very nice apartment, well equiped with a nice view over the canal that leads to the Ohau Channel. It is about 20 minutes drive north from Central Rotorua. In October it was too cold to use the swimming pool but it looked a very nice set-up.

This place was so nice to visit. The bird life is prolific, I saw a swan and her two babies in the canal. The amenities are nice a little run down, could do with a paint. It is a long way from town, but not a problem if you have a car. It would be nice if the Ramada provided... More

Got here 4hrs early and room wasn't ready I told them my mother was tired and wanted a rest they went way beyond and cleaned the entire unit to accommodate us. The 3bdr apt is beautiful my mum cannot walk the stairs which she's happy on the sofa bed which is comfortable and in front of the tv. Internet is... More

We booked the Ramada knowing the brand name - however we were pretty disappointed with what we found. The resort is a long way from town, and there are very limited facilities on site (we looked at the café menu, but it wasn't impressive) so we spent a lot of time driving. The biggest disappointment was the wifi. I had... More

This is a lovely resort in a quiet, rural location right on the inlet between the two lakes. Fabulous fly-fishing opportunities which we watched from the veranda of the club house. This is an Asian type bistro serving wonderful fresh food, superbly seasoned. Good prices well presented dishes in an ambient environment. Friendly service too! The only down-side was the... More

We had stayed here before but it was not as pretty as it was this time. We were here during the winter season so there weren't a lot of people here. We stayed at one of the town homes that backs up to the marinas. If you had a boat you could park it there. If you are booking this... More

Mourea is a hole...no offence. It is a long and quite traffic-filled drive to Rotorua and the north side of the lake drive is narrow and windy. Do NOT stay here if you don't have a car. Even then, you will be doing a lot of driving. We did stay for 8 nights (about 3 nights too long) in early... More

We stayed for 3 nights and it was lovely. The kitchenette was fully equipped so we cooked in 1 night out of the 3. The place is really beautiful. Would definitely recommend and go back if I'm ever back in Rotorua.

Yes, it may be 20 minutes out of town but when you get here it's great. Lovely well maintained Wyndham apartments. Everything you would expect from this excellent holiday share. The canals are very pleasant to look out on. The lake front grounds are spacious and well maintained. The pool would be great in the summer . It's not heated.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rotorua is truly like no other destination. It's a fascinating mix of culture, adventure and relaxation. Renowned for being a hotbed of thermal activity, Rotorua's hot springs and spas make it the perfect getaway for pampering, stress-release and rejuvenation. At the same time it's also a place where you can truly get the heart pumping. Adrenalin-raising adventures punctuate the Rotorua landscape from thrilling luge rides, white water rafting and even rolling down a hill in a giant translucent ball (zorbing). If all that's not enough for you, then you also have an area rich in Maori history and culture and friendly locals to walk you through it all. Located just 20 minutes outside the city to ensure your getaway is relaxing, WorldMark Resort Rotorua is the perfect base for whatever brings you to this simply wonderful area of New Zealand. With apartments sleeping 4-6 people in 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and lodges (utilising double sofa bed in living room), your stay will feel like your home-away-from-home. Located on the edge of the lake, the resort offers beautiful views right over the Ohau Channel. You can kayak your way back to your room or picnic at the parklands located right within the resort. If fishing is more your thing you'll be in heaven - the area is rich in fisheries and you'll be able to throw in a line from one of the various resort banks. The apartments include all modern conveniences, with the resort also boasting outdoor swimming pool, heated spa, gymnasium and a tennis court. ... more   less
