Had a large family room, every thing that we needed was there, Ok room was dated but very comfortable. We updated to a cooked breakfast, there was heaps of food, well cooked and delicious. Unfortunately the spout pools were not working, and the restuarant and bar wernt open. but over all would recommend this hotel to stay at

Thanks to John and the team. We enjoyed our stay and the fact that we were able to entertain ourselves on site playing mini golf swimming and playing on the tennis court. The cleaning staff were always polite and helpful. Thanks for making our stay pleasant and enjoyable.

All the pools were not working, the outdoor one, the heated plunge pools and spa. The spa bath jets were broken, tile in bathroom by spa bath broken, towel rail bent badly. Towels in room all frayed and ripped. The only good thing was the view of the geyser and bubbling mud pool.

Thank you for your feedback We do appreciate that you enjoyed the amazing view of the Geyser. We do not understand why guests comment that the outoor pool is not operational, it is certainly operational, and it has been well used. We would encourage all guests to have a big splash in our out door pool, the pool is clean,...

I recently traveled to Rotorua and had a reservation for a geyser view room at the Silveroaks Geyserland. Upon arrival at the hotel, the very lovely staffperson informed me that my room was not available and they had put me and my friend up at another of their sister hotels, The Gwendoline Motor Lodge. She said the rooms was nice...

We do appreciate your comments The Hotel does not purposely overlook the Hotel, in the night in question we were 100% full and unfortunately the front desk had made a human error and incorrectly entered a booking for one nght instead of two nights, and as a result we were over booked by 1 room With regret, and we do...

Our room opened directly onto Pohutu Geyser (pronounced "geezer" in Kiwi). It's somewhat smelly, but watching the spout and looking at the bubbling mud pots compensate for the smell. There the good part ended. Shabby best describes the hotel itself. Our friends' room had no shower head and many other problems that the hotel staff had to fix. All fixtures...

Thank you for your feedback The Hotel does offer an amazing view of the Pohutu Geyser and mud pools. We do not understand your comments about the outdoor pool, the pool is fully operational and refreshing. The design of the pool is such that there is a seating area around the whole pool, the water level only goes up to...

What a setting! I find it strange, given the location, that this hotel has not been looked after better. The views over Te Puia are astonishing and worth a little inconvenience. That said, this hotel badly needs investment. The manager is great and does his best to help where he can but the condition and fabric of the building leave...

Having travelled for a month in NZ and enjoyed, without exception great hotels and apartments, this was a real shock. A triple room was booked and paid for (mistake to pay in advance). Only towels, shampoo, glasses, etc were available for two adults and despite requests for more, additional ones were not forthcoming. The room hadn't been cleaned properly, the...

The best thing about this hotel is the location to Te Puia. We requested a room with a view of the park and were not left disappointed. Our room looked directly over the park, with fantastic views of the mud pool and geysers. The service was good and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately the poor condition of the hotel brings...

Lovely views from our room, overlooking Te Puia thermal park. Had the curtains open all night watching the geyser going off. Clean and comfy, can also use the facilities at the other silver oaks hotel. Didn't get time to test out the pool.

This hotel has seen better days. However, we got a good deal, and the manager was really helpful. We had a family room, which was very spacious, and it had an amazing view of the geysers. Particularly impressive when lit up at night. The beds, while not outstanding, were acceptable, and the bathroom was a decent size and very clean....
