I stayed here with 2 friends for 2 nights during my Rotorua visit. A quiet little spot, despite being right in the middle of town and atop an Irish bar. The place was really charming with some Guiness-inspired murals on the walls. My bed was clean and comfy. The owner who also runs the hostel was very friendly guy. He...

I came to New Zealand from the states to do conservation volunteer work and had the weekends off, so I came to Rotorua with a group of friends. We stayed here for one night and I was blown away by the cheap price and the great accommodations. It was my first backpackers stay and it was amazing. The kitchen, the...

Arrival and check-in was easy, 2 minutes walk from the main bus pick-up/drop-off point. David was very helpful and welcoming. Location of the hostel is ideal, very central and easy to get to and from all the main things to see and do in Rotorua. The night market on Thursdays is right on your doorstep as it takes place on...

highly affordable price and located in a very convenient place. The manager is a nice guy. He wants to be helpful and wants the guests to be happy. this is a backpackers hostel, and the guests are mostly young people from all over the globe. if you don't mind shared bathrooms, and some noise, this is a good place to...

You wouldn't miss the pink sign of this backpacker when you walk around the area. Service was great, we were able to amend our bookings easily via email and was able to check in also at an early time. Reception was very helpful also in allowing us to take shower when we are to board the overnight bus to Wellington....

One of my favourite hostels along my journey. The owner is really kind and ambitious to improve the quality of the hostels, he even asked us if we had any suggestions of improvements during our stay there. We stayed in a 8 share dorm, which was super clean and with lots of space to store your stuff. The kitchen might...

I didn't like this hostel at all. My bed was really uncomfortable, the matrass was really thin and I could feel all the wood of the bed. Also I had to pay 5$ to store my bag and if you wanted to use the hostel after check in (10am) you had to pay 10$ as well. So you basically could...

This hostel is so comfy and we'll equipped. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. The lounge area was comfy and quite big. The kitchen was a little on the small side but was well equipped and had free tea, coffee and spices. Our four bed dorm was spacious and very comfortable. Would...

We stayed here for what was meant to be 3 nights but ended up being two. The hostel is small and convenient with a good location. Free tea and coffee, DVDs and good free wifi. We thought that this would be a great stay as haven't spent longer than a couple of days in the one place. That evening we...

“There are mixed and non-mixed dorms. Up to you. It fills up quick because it's not as big as the major hostels so book in advance!”

“I was in room 5 and I think this was a good choice, as it was furthest away from the bathrooms, which would have been noisy at night and in the morning, and it was most out of the way, so had the least traffic int eh hallway. Although it is still off the common area, so bring some ear plugs!”
