We were a larger group of travellers who stayed in the Marlin 4 bedroom apartment and could not recommend it more ! The spacious kiwi-living with a full size kitchen and lounge was more then enough to make us feel comfortable, my added favourites was the private garden courtyard with outdoor bathtub and huge out door deck and BBQ area...

We chose to stay at Marlin House, Pihia to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. It proved to be a fantastic choice. Situated in a very quiet no exit street made for a very relaxing break. A short walk down the road approx 500metres and into the Main Shopping/ restaurant area. There is a good choice of restaurants and takeaway food...

We booked this bed and breakfast by reading all the previous reviews. The room was lovely, spacious, nicely furnished but on arrival there was no one on site to greet us. We had to pick up a phone which went straight through to the owners mobile who said he would be 5 minutes, 15 minutes later he drove up. There...

I am sorry you felt that way. We have been in the tourist industry for 40 plus years and operating high end accommodation and Marlin House for the last 15 plus months. Yes some of the reviews have mistakenly called us Roger & Linda. Your main issue seems to be price and service. (I believe it was price) as your...

We loved Paihia and Marlin house was ideal for us a two couples. Each of our rooms had ensuite bathrooms and we shared a common kitchen area which was fully equipped although we only really used the fridge! I assume the if the rooms were rented to guests not travelling together, then the kitchen would be private to one of...

This is centrally located in Paihia to reach the center and the ship station within a short walking distance. We have learned that the perfect hosts Linda and Roger returned to Christchurch and we hope that the new hosts continue the excellent service we could experience. The place is worth it.

Stayed here during our visit in Feb this Year and what a wonderful way to end our holiday. The house is beautifully maintained, has a stunning vista and the hosts are wonderful. It's a little walk up the hill to get to but is well worth it (it also helps walk off the evening meal). The Bay of Islands is...

We stayed for 3 nights in the beautiful Green Room, and had a most peaceful and relaxing stay. Lynda and Roger made us warmly welcome, and made sure we wanted for nothing. Gorgeous views away from the noise of the beachfront but close enough to walk when we chose to. Lynda helpfully booked us into the Hole in the Rock...

We immediately felt at home after a lovely welcome from Lynda. she gave us lots of useful information about things to do and places to eat in Paihia. We stayed in the Gold room which was large and beautifully appointed. The breakfasts are taken on an outside terrace with a great view of the harbour. The breakfasts were superb and...

We had a fabulous stay at this well appointed, beautiful B and B. The views from the balcony were outstanding and we were lucky with the weather so we could have breakfast on the terrace and enjoy these views at the same time. To make our stay further complete, Lynda and Roger, the owners were perfect hosts.

Excellent accommodation with fantastic views. Lynda and Roger are great hosts who are happy to help with bookings for trips or restaurants and provide first class breakfasts. The location is a 5 minute walk to the Ferry to Russell. Would highly recommend.

“I had a Kingfish Suite, for two People, two-Night Stay. It was a basic room with a huge bed, lounge area, tv, ensuite and dining table with sink and microwave. I was shown a bigger room with more options which could cater for a bigger group of people, like family of friends. That room included a Spa.”
