Thanks to Joan and Larry we felt so at home. They are so warm and friendly. The Lodge is so beautiful and comfortable. Every detail is taken care of from little flowers on the napkins, candy or cookies at night, etc. We had afternoon tea with delicious cakes and then great cocktails with appetizers. We enjoyed their company so much,...

Our travel agent had booked our traveling companions and my wife and me into the Masters Lodge and I'm afraid I didn't know too much about the Lodge. In fact my understanding of a Lodge is usually a small number of rooms within or adjacent to a main building. As we drove up to the Masters Lodge, up the hills,...

Had a wonderful experience at the Masters Lodge. Joan and Larry were great hosts, very caring people. The accommodations were excellent and the food, one of the best we had on our trip in New Zealand. The house was decorated beautifully, warm and inviting. even on a raining day, it was very comfortable and cozy .

I have only recently joined Tripadvisor to keep track of my travels and write reviews but have been a user for a few years now. I knew that when I did eventually start writing reviews, five star ratings would be reserved only for places which would be destinations on its own. Well, this is it, we came here first in...

Why stay here?.....how about the elevated, stunning views from the elevated verandah overlooking seaward to Cape Kidnappers. Breathtaking, but there's more.........Lovely interiors and magical stained-glass windows framing the stunning views. Hosts are welcoming and even park your vehicle up their elevated limited parking. Breakfast was hearty and delicious, the coffee excellent. this place is the hallmark of perfection.

Joan and Larry were such wonderful hosts. In our opinion their B&B sets the standard for what all b&b's should be. Luxury and warmth were everywhere from the moment we arrived. Our room had an incredible view of the town and beach, and was decorated in the most beautiful Art Deco. The breakfasts exceeded our expectations, as did our daily...

Our recent stay at Master's Lodge was exceptional. In addition to the most beautiful art deco home in Napier, the views from the upstairs suites are breathtaking. but what really makes Master's Lodge so special is it's owners, Joan and Larry. Their personal attention to each of their guests was genuine and made us feel so comfortable in their home....
