Easy and free parking. Right on the front. A short walk to bars and cafes. Accommodation was clean, maybe a little shabby but nothing to complain about. We stayed here for 2 nights in a city view room. Super quiet and a great nights sleep. Would recommend.

Stayed with my Father in a 1 bedroom Seaview room. Bedroom with 2 single beds was very small with wallpaper coming off the walls and a broken roller blind. King size bed in living room was very comfortable. A clean motel, but just really needs a major spruce up. Was $100 more than paid 2 nights before in Taupo for a fantastic 1 bedroom room. Was expecting a bit more for the price.

Booked 1 year ago for accommodation for the Robbie Williams concert and received a cancellation 4 weeks before the concert saying it was cancelled with no explanation. Tried to email and call and then called Booking.com who advised that the property was closed which is clearly BS as I can see reviews as recent as a day ago. No idea what is the reason but am seriously fuming. Puts a cloud over the Mission Estate concerts for me. Unlikely I will go again.

Well this is a first!! The first terrible review we have ever written! We had a confirmed booking a year ago at this Motel through booking.com for a concert and had put all our plans in place to get away, including travelling some distance to get there. We suddenly received a cancellation notice from this Motel via booking.com for no reason and just a few weeks before the concert. This weekend was v popular and there are no other options for accomodation at such short notice. After repeated attempts to call the Motel, messages and emails left unanswered and booking.com confirming the booking was cancelled by the Motel, we can only assume that they have resold our room for a higher price and put money well above any commitment to customers or service. By far the worst experience we have had of lack of communication, unprofessionalism and a lack of respect from a hospitality business in NZ. An extremely disappointing and frustrating experience from an accomodation provider who doesn’t seem to care.

I would give a zero star. Untrustworthy. Booked a year ago for concert and they have just cancelled. Told booking.com they are closing, absolute rubbish. They won't answer calls. I hope Karma comes around as you don't deserve to be in business. Plenty of other options around so please don't support this business as they don't support us. Looking at reviews that say untrustworthy and dirty I would say are correct.

Along with many others my partner and I booked many months in advance to attend the Robbie Williams concert in November, only to have our booking suddenly cancelled with no explanation 4 weeks before the date. Can only imagine they found a way to make more money by replacing us. Would never touch this place again.

The room was spacious and had a spa in the room which we had either forgotten about or knew about it when we booked! Unfortunately, we could not find the switch to start the jets. However it was a very soothing experience after driving a long way from the Waikato. The bed was very comfy. There were plenty of car parking spaces available. The view from the balcony was beautiful with views of the ocean and the palms. It was very handy to restaurants and shops. The only downside is that the carpets could do with a good shampoo!

Avoid this place. They canceled our booking because they were overbooked yet we booked 6 months ago. Tickets for concert at mission estate and no available accommodation in the region. No direct contact from the operator just a notification saying the booking was cancelled

We stayed at this lovely motel for one night on our way north, we were very lucky as someone had cancelled so we managed to secure a room here, it turned out to be just what we wanted, the room was nice and cool (as it was very hot when we arrived), there was a balcony with lovely views of the ocean, and sitting outside on the balcony was lovely and cool too, the room is so spacious, and very comfortable, we found it so handy to walk to the shops, cafes, and pubs, we liked it so much we stayed another night, we had a great nights sleep, and the staff were excellent, so very helpful and friendly, , absolutely loved this place and will be back again.

Whilst their website claims “elegantly designed” rooms it’s clear to anyone that nothing has been done to the rooms at this property in at least 15 years. The main problem during our stay was not the dated decor, rather the filthy condition of the room. While nothing was mentioned at check in we entered the room to find a well thumbed piece of paper, that had clearly been there for some time, advising that the rooms wouldn’t be serviced during our stay due to “short staffage”. Not ideal but potentially understandable. However the state of the room indicated that a decent clean had not happened in a very long time. The was mould everywhere in the bathroom (including shower, basin and toilet brush holder) and all of the wooden surfaces in the room were sticky. The carpet was frayed, extensively stained and clearly had not had a decent vacuum in a long time. The linen was frayed and grey with the duvets and pillows well past the end of their useful lives. The lovely private balcony (with rusted chairs, large glass ashtray and a broken table) was generally unusable due to the pervading smell of cigarette smoke from other peoples decks, in fact you can’t even leave the doors open in the evening as the smoke wafts straight into the room.
