Great initial phone service, surpassed when my son and I came to check in, great room at a great price. Fabulous meal at the restaurant with special attention given to make sure my son felt included. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone coming to Gisborne

Excellent accommodation; well-appointed, with plenty of room in the executive suite; Lovely, quiet place - despite it being opposite a camping ground and despite our being there over New Year! Very helpful, friendly manager. He was very willing to provide extra cutlery, crockery & seating when we had visitors for dinner. We have stayed here several times and would happily...

A lovely motel very close to the beach and city. Our room was excellent with all that we needed for a nights stay. The hosts were excellent, the grounds well looked after and the unit clean and tidy. Would recommend to all.

At least in the silly season that same desolate looking concrete will be able to take all the myriad of vehicles without the usual motel...

From a very warm welcome and check in, to the clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, air con, free wifi, great amenities, lovely housekeeping person, the list goes on. What more could one ask for? An excellent place to stay, and Gisborne itself also has so much to offer.

I last visited Captain Cook 6 years ago, so was very pleased to see the motel still looks like new, 6 years later. Very friendly staff, excellent hygiene and well presented rooms. A bit of a walk into the CBD but to be honest, that suited me,
