Stayed here one Sunday night in February, room (8)201, overlooking the pool and has a massive balcony. The room itself was enormous with a king size bed and a wet room for a bathroom; plus it has a second bedroom with twin beds. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, with loads of storage space. From the balcony the pool...

Standard hotel in central location.Long hot stuffy corridor walk to room from lift. Spa pool needs renovation, lots of tiles missing. You swim while restaurant patrons watch. Ask for a river view room so you are not on the road.

Central Main Street location. Walking distance to shops & cafés etc, Great pool & spa area with nice big umbrellas for shade. Our Executive Pool View room was very spacious with a good size balcony with a large table & chairs. Air conditioning was good to cool the room on hot Gisborne days,

We chose to stay in the Emerald Hotel for its central location. Great to walk to the bars and restaurants. Our room was clean enough but the carpet was stained, the outdoor furniture was missing a cushion and we had to ask for the staff to remove a dirty ashtray from the balcony. It's a pity that the desk staff...

We had a suite which e ncompassed bedroom, lounge with dining table and chairs, spacious bathroom and balcony with table and chairs. This is a quality room with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Great value for money. The bistro is OK but the bar is limited but there is a good pub next door for food and drinks. Only slight niggle...

We stayed here for one night, the room was very clean and large. It came with an amazing balcony overlooking the river. The staff were very friendly. It is a modern hotel. We found it to be good value for money compared to other hotels we have stayed in.

Great location in town, close to other restaurants etc with a good pool that is great for kids as it also has a spa. We were on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and inner courtyard and despite worried that it might be noisy it wasnt at all. Room was a good size and was configured as one queen in...

We visited the Emerald hotel whilst visiting family nearby. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The facilities were clean and modern with rooms larger than I'd expect for the amount of money we paid. I would definitely use the hotel again if we are visiting the area. My wife used the gym facilities available and seemed happy with them...

Great one night stay in spacious studio room felt very comfy and luxurious. Great bar and pool. I'd happily stay there again. Good location in main street so near everything. Thank goodness for air-conditioning it was stifling hot in Gisborne!

Everything was fantastic. The hotel has a great layout, with a beatiful pool/spa area. Generous size room and bathroom. Great to soak in a bathtub after a long day working. Room service and meals were good. I will definitely return for a holiday.
