On arrival at lobby I thought we were in a backpackers hostel rather than the 4 star hotel we booked. We entered the apartment with some trepidation, but were pleasantly surprised to find it acceptable but nothing special. Walking the nearby neighbourhood shows it is not the salubrious end of town with lots of homeless people sleeping in the street....

Auckland has some delightful pockets. Downtown you have the Viaduct with lots of good restaurants and some easy walking. If you want to explore further walk up Queen Street to visit the Auckland Art Gallery which has been refurbished and is a treat. If you fancy a boat ride hop on the ferry to Devonport - a lovely village with...

Only stayed here one night at the end of our NZ trip. We were surprised by how large our room was. Two separate bedrooms with privacy from one another. Plus a washer/dryer and a mini kitchen complete with everything you need to prepare simple meals. The staff was friendly and helpful. You can contact them in advance for an airport...

We had booked for 3 nights having flown in from the UK. Initial impression when taxi pulled up was that it wasn't a four star hotel. We sadly were proved right. At best it is 3 star. We had paid thro booking .com for an executive room. The decor was tired and shabby. The room smelt of curry. The "breakfast"...

Location reasonably central. Apartment small but if you're only sleeping there it's fine. Beds comfortable enough. 'Complimentary breakfast'. unusual. Packaged sandwiches , fruit , yogurt . Or sandwiches, muffin, orange juice. Wasn't super fresh, was like food you would buy a at petrol station. Didn't eat it. If I stayed again I wouldn't bother with it. Not the worst place...

We were accidentally by the admin staff charged 1800.00 dollars for the room for one night. The admin noticed and then credited my account by the correct amount. This was fine except I am slugged with a $50.00 AUS transaction fee. The staff admitted the issue did occur but nothing was offered to make up. I was then informed as...

Stayed here for just 1 night. It's a good budget hotel but with a $25 parking fee. There are some nearby overnight car parks charging $8-$10, so if your stay is short, you might consider parking elsewhere. The room was equipped with a functional kitchen and a washing machine apart from the usual amenities. I would suggest to get a...

Booked this as couldn't get into my usual hotel. Basically it's a lodging with small apartments, friendly and helpful staff however our kitchen obviously had a damp ceiling, the giveaway was the bubbles in the paint and the air freshener on top of the cupboard to ward of the damp smell. Not need as the damp was clearly visible in...

Stayed here for just one night en route to Lake Taupo. The two-bed apartment was spacious but nothing seemed to work! Difficult to log in to internet, washing/machine drier did not dry clothes. Poor breakfast - essentially what you might have for lunch but at breakfast time! Would not recommend
