OMFG. Do not do it to yourself by staying here. $375 for a one night stay in a room the size of a shoe box, no on site parking and at $40 to park off site in a public carpark. No air conditioning or heating, shower pressure is non existent. Don't think about unpacking your bag as there is limited...

Small rooms. A bit Dated. No aircon. Probably rate it at two and a half star Can't say I'd stay there again personally but I guess it was fairly cheap so you can't expect the Ritz. Overall it does what it says on the tin. They're building another block of apartments right next to it and they start around 7.0...

Spent one night here at the end of our trip round New Zealand. It was convieniently located for a number of things including the sky city and sky tower, the town hall and civic centre and the art gallery and there were a number of smaller restaurants in the vicinity. It was also opposite the second bus stop in the...

The hotel is close to the city centre, however the rooms are claustrophobic, there is no air conditioning and a building is being constructed right next to it, making it impossible to either open the window (extremely noisy) or to stay in the room during the day. The front desk staff are there only to make sure they get your...

I liked very much staying at the Ascotia. It´s a convening option for those who wants to stay close to Auckland Central but don´t want to spend much money to stay in a hotel (and those who doesn´t want to stay in a backpacker place).

I ended up here for work as everything else was booked out or ridiculously expensive and thank goodness I was only at the hotel to sleep. The room was small but clean, with just the basics. Breakfast was only for those starving or in a very tight budget, but at least there are some good restaurants nearby and the CBD...

The room was tiny - claustrophobic. The air conditioner did not work, the carpet was torn, the bathroom had no shelf to set out toiletries and no iron in the room. Actually, no room to set up an ironing board! Worse, an eye gouging price at $395 one night and $199 the other.

I stayed here because my usual motel was booked out. I guess the process for staying in the city is that you pay more and get less. The room was tiny. (Think harry potter) there is not enough space space for a large suitcase, I traveled alone with a carry-on bag and even that was tight. The bed was comfortable...

I've stayed in 2-star airport hotels in Dublin and London; and in 2- and 3-star hotels in Dublin, Paris, London, New York, Toronto, and dozens of other cities, including two others in Auckland--this is, by a clear margin, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It's the only hotel I've ever seen that doesn't even have a small chair in...

We paid $480 for one night - a ridiculous price for a very small room. No room for any cases. There was no air-conditioning so we had to have windows open all night and it was very noisy - so no sleep! This hotel looks nothing like the photos - we thought for the price we were paying and looking...
