This complex has been recently completely modernised. Everything in my unit was new. Big room. Big modern bathroom, and a kitchen with modern, new appliances. Effective air conditioner. New TV with 50 Sky channels. Good bed for me. I like a firm mattress. Simplicity is the one word to describe this motel. Proprietors were polite. Could have earned a five from me except only four coat hangars, only one bedside table.
Our family of 5 stayed during a 3 night holiday to Auckland, choosing this accommodation as not many can accommodate 3 child families, and also liked the location within close proximity to the mall etc. The layout and space was good but that's pretty much where it ends. It appears that some of the units may have been renovated but our unit was obviously not one of them. The room was rough, with holes in walls purely patched, one electrical socket was even hanging out of the wall. Our bathroom window would not shut probably so we had to ensure lights were off to reduce bug visitors. The place was also grotty, the sink etc needed a good clean, initially I thought the old timber etc might just be stained etc due to age but one wipe of a tissue over the skirting board revealed thick dust. The light fitting in the bathroom was full of dead bugs. About 3 blown bulbs in the unit. The crockery was stained and much of it with chips and cracks. The location and space means with some much needed TLC our unit would be great... but as it stands we wouldn't stay here again as for $235 per night we were terribly disappointed.…
Stayed 2 nights while in Auckland for Christmas shopping trip with daughter.Stayed in a two room family Unit. Units have recently been renovated and they have done an excellent job. Unit spotless.Beds super comfy.Friendly staff.
friendly clean helpful, good value for money , warm soft beds, clean kitchen modern toaster and kettle, free washing machine close to main shopping centre and al facilities. the man offered to help us with our luggage as it was raining . we found the staff to be very kind and helpful.
Top quality kitchen appliances, TV, beds, bathroom...clean and very well presented. At first I was worried about the closeness to the road but, while we did hear it a bit, the double glazing really did its job and it was quieter than expected. The Sky TV channels on offer were the best we have come across in our travels around New Zealand and the heater ensured we had a cosy evening in. We could cook for ourselves and the stove even had an oven! We have hardly ever come across an oven. The location is excellent if you are passing through Auckland on your way north or south, just a short hop off and then back onto Highway 1.
We were told we could pay on the day but card was charged earlier than that. Were kept under the impression that we could cancel up until 24 hours before check in however was told no refund was available and we could not cancel 3 days before we were to check in. While trying to sort this out I was yelled at over the phone and hung up on I tried to get an earlier check in at 1 but was told if we were to do so the room would not be cleaned at all. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Booked a room at the hotel manager has terrible English and is the rudest person I have ever come across I would rather sleep on the streets then in your hotel. Go and get some training on dealing with customers you rude rude man
We loved our 5 nights at Sylvia park motel. It was awesome. Spacious room, a comfy bed. The room was perfectly cleaned. Hosts were welcoming and friendly. Quiet and handy location with good facilities resulting in a very comfortable stay. We Will definitely be back.
We stayed here as wanted to be close to Sylvia Park shopping mall. It was clean, quiet and absolutely fine for what we needed it for. Check in was easy and was in a good location for where we needed. Would stay here again
Nice room and comfy bed. Convenient location everything was very nice . Even if near from the road, our room was quiet because of the double glazing. Very nice and friendly staff. Great location walking distance from the Sylvia park. Thank you.
