I don't have great expectations while staying at a backpacker but this one certainly is disorganised, messy and worse than most backpackers in the city. I would certainly prefer staying at other backpackers in the city in the same area which has the same rates, but provides better facilities and service. Plus the bar below makes it impossible to sleep.

full of younger backapckers, i did not sleep well and left after one night as i like a bit of peace and quiet. but if you want a party hostel, or somewhere cheap to look for work, its probably a good bet.

Pros: the location is fantastic, right in the middle of everything, close to shops, cafes, bars, shops, you name it. The room size was really good and spacious. The communal toilets kept clean through the night. I didn't use the kitchen, but for what I saw it was ok. The towel rental was great, as is only a $20 deposit...

Top Bantz with the lads. Sexy staff, especially that English guy who does the vacuuming. 10/10. If you wanna Dab, QSB is the place to do it in Auckland. With free Wifi, it's the home away from home :)

1. It is $5 to $10/day cheaper, because the include a towel and internet including in the room. 2. In the room (and I was told this was BRAND NEW), they were power outlets at each bed! The other two - one outlet per room regardless of number of beds. 3. Happy hour - I believe it was $2 (might...

The rooms felt very dirty and even though they got cleaned daily, the cleaners just gave the floor a quick Hoover and changed the bin. The hostel itself definitely needs to be done up! The staff that were working for accommodation were extremely clicky and some made it clear I wasn't welcome. I often felt like I didn't want to...

We arrived and were welcomed by a group of 4 - 5 people still drunk from their night out and hanging around in the reception. Not a great start. Then we settled in and enjoyed the free wifi at the reception. Depending on your room, you will or will not have access to the free wifi in your room; and...

I stayed in the QSB for almost 2 months in a room for 6 people. They have 2 kitchens and many toilets and showers, so it was enough even when it was busy. The price was fine and it was clean. The wifi wasn't the best, but at least it was free. Staff in general is really kind and always...
