We stayed here for 2 nights but didn't spend much time in the hotel as we were busy with other things. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and tidy. The location is great as it is close to the centre of town, the viaduct and transportation. Nothing too flash about the place but would recommend staying.

I was a little apprehensive about staying here (this trip was not booked by me) after reading some of the reviews on here. However, I found our experience to be very good. On arrival I was greeted and told that check in was not until 2pm (which I knew anyway) but I could leave my bag there and come back...

Our stay here was for 1 night in transit, we were looking for a good location close to the viaduct harbour and dining, at an affordable price for one night. This hotel provided exactly that, plus they had onsite parking (extra) and offered a simple breakfast which was fine. Overall it met our needs, we did stay in a standard...

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Chancellor for 2 nights in early January 2017. The room was tidy and the rate was fair. We received very good service from all staff and housekeeping were great. The room was a reasonable size, but we were given a corner room with very unusual angles and therefore not as practical as...

Had a small studio with kitchenette. The room was quite big, had a sofa and coffee table, and a kitchen table and chairs but was still roomy enough for a roll-away bed for our daughter. The kitchenette was had everything you need for simple meals. The bedding was comfortable, the bathroom, including full bath, was roomy. There is a small...

Great location. Our room had all the amenities. Beds were very comfortable. Liked that there was also a tv mounted on the wall if we wanted to watch in the bedroom. Very clean. The bedside lamps were a good feature -just had to tap it for the lights to come on. Close to train station/Food Alley - foodcourt and to...

Cons:The room needed renovating badly. The bath was 53 centimetres high (21 inches) and every time I took a shower I hit my foot on the top of the bath plus the shower head was very low at 163 centimetres (64 inches), if your tall like me it was almost impossible to wash my hair. I found the bed was...

This was a centrally located apartment/hotel just a short distance from Auckland harbour/sea front. We arrived very early (straight from the airport) and found the hotel staff willing to store our luggage until the 2pm check in. There was a lift so we had no trouble moving our luggage. Room 313 was on the angle of the building and so...

We were in a small studio with kitchenette. Kitchenette lacks basic things such as spoons (maybe this is an isolated case?), on the other hand it is equipped with all the necessary appliances. Cleanliness was ok, but could be better. Central location was the main reason we chose this place and do not regret it. Would recommend it for short...

Had my doubts about the hotel after reading some reviews but it was quite the opposite. Location central, clean and spacious rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. Stayed with family for 2 days. Although free Wi-Fi will be a bonus if provided.
