We stayed in Mollies from 29-31/Dec. Our 7 yrs old son was totally exhilarated of the lovely attic that he had. Our premier suite was so amazingly decorated that it's pity for us to leave so early on the last day. It is one of the coolest hotel that I have ever stayed and it has a home ambiance instead...

4 nights are barely sufficient to enjoy this property, the city and the surrounding area. Steven and Bernadette couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast was when we wished even if it meant serving early to accommodate an early tour. A late snack was easily handled and a celebratory drink was complimentary. Room 3 is huge and elaborate yet quite comfortable. The...

Steven and Bernadette are your hosts to this 10 room boutique hotel a short cab ride or half hour walk to the CBD My wife and I stayed in room 3 which looked out into the garden. A large sitting room with high ceiling and space for the baby grand piano in the corner. A gas fire and lounge helpful...

Mollie's is a fantastic hybrid -- the facilities and panache of a high-end boutique hotel, but with the personalized service of a B&B. Steve and Bernadette could not have been more accommodating. We had a very late evening arrival into AKL, and when the taxi dropped us at the door, Steve met us (well after midnight) at the front door...

Given the paucity of prestige international brand hotels in Auckland, and the high turnover rate of property management, this is a plausible choice for the high end visitor to Auckland. Mollies is an intriguing hybrid of bed and breakfast and hotel, aspiring to the latter but still entrenched in the former. The young couple who now own the property put...

Dear Sonicgo, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We also would like to take the time to respond to your comments. Your heading "New owners still fumbling" is confusing. If you read reviews for the past 12 months of our tenure (we took over on 1 October 2013) we have received no complaints regarding our service...

My family and I stayed at Mollies for 2 nights in September for my 60th birthday. Mollies is the number one boutique hotel listed in Auckland and deserves this position as number one on trip adviser. We stayed in suite 1 on the ground floor. Our 23 year old son stayed in suite 10 which was on the first level...

Stayed at the Mollies last week for a few nights and what a wonderful surprise! Knew little about the hotel before I went except for whatever was written about it by other members of Tripadvisor which led to fairly high expectations. Honestly the outside of the hotel was very understated and unassuming but when I walked in, I was taken...

We stayed at Mollies for 3 days in late August. This was a result of Mollies being voted no. 1 hotel in TripAdviser. We wanted a special place, and this was certainly it. It lived up to all expectations. We were in a junior suite, huge, large lounge, gas fireplace, and an antique harp and forte piano amongst the decorations....

Definitely, not as advertised though it is not on the St.M. Bay, nicely located away form the traffic in a street near a school in Posonby. The attention and the new ownership-management is impeccable i.e. attention, counseling and a very fine breakfast. Rooms are, unequal- check before accepting and the price is exorbitant for a bed and breakfast elevated. It...
