My partner and I came to tour the north island, and this B&B was a lovely welcome to Auckland. We were greeted by a cheerful girl who offered us tea or coffee, and brought us some fantastic banana bread. She told us about all of the places to go for a good night out and some of the better places...

This B&B has many positive features, but the cottages are showing their age. Art work is fun and eclectic. We received a great welcome upon arriving, and staff are very helpful in giving directions and making suggestions for activities and dining. Breakfasts are good and it was nice to have a veranda eating area. Rooms in the main part of...

I am sorry we do not accept your review of the green studio which you were only in for a moment and you did not even see the other studios. We were happy to upgrade you to the penthouse where you had stayed before and seemed very happy. Moments after you complained another guest took the studio, stayed two days...

We stayed here for 2 nights before the start of our months tour of New Zealand. Aggie welcomed us with a cup of tea and plenty of advice of where to eat in the area. The bedroom was perfect with a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were some of the best we had during our trip. The eggs Benedict with...

We arrived at the great Ponsonby after 5 weeks of touring New Zealand. It felt a bit like coming home....warm, cozy, and a very caring staff. When we arrived we were offered coffee, tea or a glass of wine. Breakfasts were great with lots of choice. We were here for 3 days and sometimes we were just happy to sit...

It has certainly been a wonderful summer for sitting in the garden. Thank you for taking time to write your lovely review. You are right, if we are able to allow guests to keep their rooms we do.

We stayed 2 nights at this B&B in the Green Room, which included a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, sink, 2 burners, tea kettle. The room included a sitting area with 2 steps down to the bedroom area. The room included robes (no slippers, handlotion, or tissues), soap, and shampoo. WiFi is included in the charges and there was a laptop...

The gracious generosity of our hosts Sally and Gerry as well as Holly and Aggie made our visit comfortable and fun. The breakfasts were exceptional. The location is perfect to explore the city and environs as well as local restaurants and entertainment. We liked the relaxed nature of the neighborhood while still having access to the bustling inner city. The...

We arrived in Auckland late afternoon without any accommodation booked and found this place right in the heart of Ponsonby. An amazing character home renovated to include 'art' cottages that are spacious, well equipped and have some beautiful Pacifica art. Literally a couple of hundred metres from Ponsonby Road where there are great shops, bars, restaurants and art galleries. We...

We stayed 2 nights during the recent Auckland Arts Festival. Sally and Gerry were helpful and generous with suggestions and we had a great time. Our courtyard studio room was lovely, spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the home-cooked breakfasts, though needed to head up to the Ponsonby cafes afterwards for a stronger brew of coffee. Ponsonby is a terrific...

Gerry, Sally and staff made us right at home. This was a great choice for us arriving on 6:30 AM local time flight. We were able to make arrangements to book our room for the night before, have a car pick us up at the airport, and move us into our room before anyone was stirring in the house. It...

We had one night at the Great Ponsonby and found it very much as others have written. It is quirky and charming with a great breakfast cooked to order. We had a front room which was not very big, but adequate with modern ensuite. Good quality toiletries are provided. Sally and Gerry are so cut out for this hosting business...
