Amazing stay. Right in the centre of Auckland so perfect for the shops and harbour. The breakfast was well presented and delicious, thank you to all the chefs and our waiters Aom. Mark helped us with valet, Check-in by Kathy, she was so lovely and attentive. Everything about it is pure luxury. The customer service at Restaurant was top class and special mention to Sam and Zac. They both were amazing with their hospitality skills and made our stay all the more enjoyable. Bedroom was immaculate, stylish and welcoming. Will be back soon :)

We loved the Fable! The welcoming service starts as soon as you arrive with super friendly valets then onto the lovely reception desk. They were pretty busy but remained friendly and efficient. Checked- in by TRACY, she was professional and welcoming. Excellent customer service, room was very clean and bed very comfy. The Restaurant was exquisite, first we enjoyed our drinks at bar and later moved to dinner. The maître d, SAM was proactive and suggested the delicious meal off the menu and we enjoyed his service and conversations. Desserts were scrumptious especially the Honey pana cotta. Again, Great experience ✨️ in the morning we had the buffet breakfast, everything was delicious. Thank you for such a memorable experience.

Excellent location. We can walk to practically all attractions. The room is cozy, the bed is so comfy. The towels are thick and cottony. The tv has good programs. They provide coffee capsule machine and good varieties of tea too. The reception staff Kathy was so helpful and polite.

This is our second time staying here. My girlfriends and I book 3 rooms. The service is great, they attended to making our night very pleasant and enjoyable. The assistance the Concierge plus Mark, Leo, and Andrew provided was just fantastic. Queen Street in Auckland City is a very busy place. The team really made a number of tasks possible through unloading and securing the luggage to getting the passengers into the hotel. to enable the coach to depart quickly. We have visited Fables once before and were struck by the sumptuous decor and style of this McGallery Hotel. Hence we returned at our very next visit to Auckland. We were not to be disappointed with friendly professional service from Umut and his team. We both love the decor and intimate atmosphere of the restaurant. Each dish was beautifully presented and our waiters extremely attentive, engaging and thoughtful in their responses to any questions we had. My husband was delighted with the Polipotti which came with a gorgeous rich sauce. I was especially intrigued by the aubergine colour and texture of the smoked red cabbage purée which served as a bed for the super fresh skin-on snapper. Though we had no room left…. We ordered desserts of pannacotta and rhubarb. Both were exceptional. An excellent wine list. I do wonder in our search for new and different restaurants we forget there are gems to be found in our Hotels. Beautiful decor, professional service and a quiet atmosphere allows the diner to focus on the cuisine, rather than what’s going on around them. We will surely be back in a few months time when we revisit Auckland to enjoy Fables and Umut’s team. Our thanks to the innovative chefs in the kitchen who were too busy to interrupt.…
