only stayed overnight . We came off the train late , even though the hotel was not far its advisable to take a taxi.because the area is not safe. The morning we found the same , we took a taxi to the wharf.

Although rather tired and dated decor, staff extremely helpful and well situated for access to the harbour and city centre. Room was small with only one arm chair and little space for cases, but adequate as Auckland hotels can be ecpensive

In all other areas in New Zealand free wifi and parking are complimentary not the case with this establishment. The room had a decently sized bed but that was all to look forward to, the bathroom was very small and the drain did not fit into where a part had been cut in the tiles and the shower was not...

Lovely location and hotel but won't stay here again. Upon arrival we were told you had to pay NZD10 per night for parking which is a bit of a shock for me as every hotel I have ever stayed at had complimentary parking (including the two other hotels we stayed at in Rotorua and Lake Taupo) Furthermore wifi is also...

The staff are all friendly and helpful. Our room was shocking, it did not have a table or bench to write on and only one arm chair. The bathroom had the shower over the bath with NO hand rails to help get in and out of. This is NO GOOD for people with bad legs and the older generation. Spoke...

If you get a good deal then there is nothing wrong with this hotel. Sure it's basic and dated, but it's clean and tidy. There isn't much noise and the beds were comfortable. If your travelling through auckalnd without a car then be aware that whilst it is close to the city centre it's still a bit of a distance...

We stayed for one night at the Copthorne in Auckland City in mid December 2016 and it was not too bad. Well placed in the city to walk everywhere. Room was OK and we had a sea view although far away. Staff were ok however we've just received a charge for a night's stay in March 2017! When our credit...

Make sure this is the first hotel you stay at when arriving in New Zealand. This will ensure that most other hotels will shine in comparison. In fairness, most of the staff were friendly and helpful but they had to do battle, on a daily basis, with a tired infrastructure and disinterested management. First impressions provided an accurate picture of...

I visited here with my partner! We are absolutely disgusted! We woke up being bitten all through the night! We came in having an amazing time in NZ and have had to end our visit like this! My bites are oozing with puss and my partners are all red and itchy! Was told that it was going to be sorted...

Over priced 3 star hotel. Ground floor decor hides the true nature of this dated hotel. Last minute booking due to trip & limited hotel selection in city. Room was small with tired furniture and fittings. Incredibly noisy air con and if you tried to sleep with balcony door open traffic noise was awful. Room door was ill-fitting and let...
