We booked a 1 bedroom room for 3 . we rang the hotel and asked if the could sort out an extra bed. They totally met my expectations and orgainised a new room with an extra bed and bedroom on the 24th floor with great views to boot !! The pool and spa area is great. The location is perfect close to high street and queen street. We booked a carpark and there carpark area has lots of room and a lift that takes you straight to your floor - no mucking around! Will stay again :)
Always happy to stay at the Metropolis. The location is very central and great having an apartment with all the amenities. Great kitchen with full fridge freezer, oven, hob , dishwasher and microwave. Sky TV. Beds are comfy. Great showers. Washer & dryer so you can wash your own towels. Friendly helpful staff. Nice to have a pool and spa. Rooms are quietish but the city is noisy, so you just have to expect traffic, people and bar noise. I bring earplugs. The cleaning was not up to standard this time sadly. Shower curtain needs replacing and the toiletries in our bathroom were used. Also parking is now $40 a night. But overall we would stay again.
Room was great! Had everything you could need and was actually bigger than I was expecting for an inner city stay. Little noisy from the bars down below at nights, but thats to be expected anywhere in the city. Great location and easy to walk anywhere central. Would definitely stay again!
Great location and facilities for self-catering break in the city. Ask for high floor for great views - super fast lifts. Friendly staff, great pool and sauna area. On site parking is extra but worth it as lift access to building.
A great hotel with good facilities, and close to multiple eateries. Well appointed rooms that are spacious and comfortable, which makes extended stays a pleasure. A short easy stroll to the Auckland art gallery or the waterfront should you wish.
Although I found their website and long delays getting back to me frustrating I did enjoy our stay There are a lot of cafes, bars, restaurants around the resort. We paid $40 for a carpark, so it was 240 for the night. Queen St shopping is only about 500 metres away, an easy walk and The Viaduct and Wynyard Quarter are also close by for those of you who like walking, Albert Park is just next to the hotel. We were on 29th floor, room 2905, view over harbour, if you get lost the hotel is quite easy to spot. There was a problem with hot water in the shower on arrival it took about 15 minutes to come through and there were huge noises and shuddering. Next morning it was fine. I am sure I asked for a balcony, did not get one, but paperwork does not show that request or the carpark request…
Perfect hotel for a relaxing break in the heart of the city. The rooms are spacious and modern with all the amenities you could need. The bed was super comfortable. It's nice to have access to the swimming pool.
Great Location, friendly staff. Room was very spacious with great views. Rooms could do with a bit of maintenance but overall clean and comfortable for our 2 night stay. Milk was expired by 2 months in fridge, however staff were quick to resolve :)
It was a very friendly welcome and clean stay for the weekend. A very convenient location and easy access to places. I would say for the quality the price was nice. Hopefully I'd be able to request for a higher floor next tine as I felt the view was a bit blocked, but still nice.
having stayed here multiple times over the years this visit was a little disappointing. The hotel seemed more than a little run down. Numerous buttons missing or damaged in elevators, multiple stains throughout the lobby carpet. room was tidy and had all amenities however the carpet and rug could of done with a good steam cleaning.
