Turned up after a very long drive, receptionist told us their car park was full so we had to unload in a hurry as there was a strict loading zone only. Partner had to drive to a different hotel and park there which cost us $18 for the privilege. Then he walked back to the hotel while I lugged all...

My cousin and I booked this hotel, admittedly last minute, for an event in Auckland. As is the case in Auckland, the hotel jacked up the price so much so that it was double what you would normally pay. Given that it was one of the only rooms left about town we had no real choice. Having stayed in the...

We had nice 3 weeks at this hotel. 20.01.2015 - 10.02.2015 Location is not bad.. They hotel itself is ok. Obviously is good value for the money. Stayed at many hotels before, so we did not expect a 5 star service from this hotel. Reception staff was really nice, The two guys from Lebanon, the french girl was really friendly.....

We stayed here 4 nights and were given a room on the 1st level, which had no elevator access, so bags had to be hauled up 2 flights of stairs. The hotel is about a 15 walk to the City Tower, but is located in a ratty neighborhood. The air conditioning in the room consists of a large floor model...

while the rooms are clean & functional, the street is sketchy at best and a little far from where you want to be. Early check-in is $50 extra and wifi over 1 hr. Is an additional charge. Wouldn't stay here again.

I stayed here for 2 nights early in February at the start of an Exodus trip. This hotel is well located for city activities, though too close to a mission hostel (for homeless) for comfort! The rooms are of an acceptable standard, with friendly reception and dining room staff. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

Used this hotel as a base for couple days before the start of a NZ tour. Checked us in early, which was great and also gave us a nice bottle of wine as celebrating our wedding anniversary. Great location in city centre and staff were very helpful. Nice room though Air con very noisy and don't bother with the breakfast...

Excellent value hotel in central location. Walkable to the airport shuttle bus stop and into town. Comfortable room, very attentive staff. This seems to be about the only mid-range option in Auckland.

The Hobson Hotel, was clean, an awesome location, with a delicious little eatery inside!! The staff were pleasant & helpful. When I return to Auckland, in the future, I would definitely stay here again!! The room was spacious, with a nice view. A free hour of wifi, each day!!!

Large room. The beds were very comfortable. There was a portable Air Con machine. Noisy if you like to sleep with air con on but it was fine for me as I always switch it off before going to bed. Location is not bad, 5 minutes walk downtown. The breakfast was good, not the standard westerns breakfast but it was...
