It's next to the train line so you can hear the trains, but it's nothing you can't sleep through, especially with ear plugs. It is a little bit further from the town centre, so you do have to walk about 5-10 mins or so (depending on your speed of course) and may not be ideal if you want to be...

It is clean, however I did not like that much. Too close to the train's track so it was noisy and I could not have a good night of sleeping. However is well located, near to train and bus station and to city centre.

When coming to Perth, which was a very spontaneous decision, I booked in for one night in Perth City YHA and I'm still staying here. It's very clean, the staff members are extraordinary helpful and friendly, the showers and toilets are more than clean, high ceilings, bright communal areas, two balconies, four kitchens, clean fridges, lot's of TVs, a gym...

This larger YHA is conveniently located close to the CBD, train and bus stations. Because the train station is so close, you can hear the noise from them at night, however nothing that disturbed my sleep with earl plugs. Staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. It is clean, as long as those staying there keep it that way. I...

Really quitte place if you need a good sleep. It feels more like a family place than a youth hostel. We arrived at night and the reception was still open. The receptionist managed to put me and my friend in a 4 bed room, without extra charge (Because the 6 bed were not mixed rooms). So great stay!

This hostel exceeded my expectations, the double room was nice, quite and with private bathroom. Pool and gym were complimentary and reception was open 24h. The position was perfect, everything is walking distance. I would definitely recommend it.

Probably the first hostel I've been to with a pool and a gym. This hostel is great, 24 hour reception, great facilities and clean rooms and bathrooms and really central to the city. Highly recommend this one if you are staying in Perth and want to be close to the city and train station

WiFi, facilities and rooms are very good. Only problems are: the bathrooms are in bad state at every level and the automatic pool cleaner is always in the water (what can be dangerous because of the electricity).

Dear t-mo1909, we thank you for taking the time to review our hostel and are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the pool cleaner: this device is not run by electricity and operates through the pressure of the water pump. There is no risk to the safety of anyone using the pool at any time. We are always...

I guess you can't really escape cockroaches in Australia hostels so I won't talk more about it. I stayed there twice and couldn't get much sleep because it is next to the train station. You hear the brakes of the trains screeching through the whole night and also some kind of alarm bells at a rail crossing just next to...

Dear Carina1122, we thank you for your feedback which is important for us to improve our hostel. We are sorry to hear you did not feel the hostel was clean enough and the staff was unfriendly. We are always trying to keep our standards high and have a frequent kitchen and bathroom cleaning schedule. Unfortunately there is little we can...

I don't know what it is but I generally find the service in Perth lacking. I can handle this as It seems "normal" here. What I find difficult to put up with is the blatant rudeness of many of this YHA's staff. If they hate customers staying here maybe they should not work in hospitality. Not all the staff are...
