Perth City YHA is in an excellent location very close to the CBD and whilst the noise of the trains can be loud that should not be an issue. However, some of the other residents in the hostel seem to be struggling with the understanding of the use of a door handle and end up slamming their doors constantly..:( This...

Hi Sydney Thanks for the feedback on doors slamming - this is a tricky one as it relies on consideration between guests but we can appreciate your concerns. Fridge space similarly comes down to this too, as trying to have separate fridges for different guests would be hard to put into practice. We hope though that we'll see you again...

The location of YHA is good and the building is unique, so I easily notice it when I arrived on the street. The kitchen is almost on every floor. The problem in the kitchen on my floor was a broken hot water dispenser, which was not fixed when I was there. The dining room is quite big and comfortable.

The city YHA is a backpackers very close to the centre of Perth and well managed. It's central location makes it a good place for exploring Perth. The hostel itself is well maintained (as good as this is possible in an backpacker) and has reasonable facilities. Sadly it's located right beside the train station of Perth and therefore you will...

Stayed here for one night with a friend in a mixed four bed room. Firstly the room faced the train station so was very noisy and woken by loud trains. So if you are a light sleeper maybe avoid this hostel. Room very dated looking but does have air con. Bathrooms - the floor was completely soaked throughout! Good location...

Staid there a few days, and was a really good experience. Huge kitchen, 2 elevators, lots of rooms, car park. Good Wi-Fi. And next location! Supermarket is 5 min walk, bus stop 2min, train station 5min! There is also a gym room, and nice staff. Bad point, I'll say the car park cost $10 per day, and yeah just the...

We stayed here whilst working in Perth for 3 months, and it was a great place to stay. The dorms were good size, the kitchen was well equipped and when we moved to a private room we even got a tv which was great. The staff were always on hand to help with any query we had. And were always...

Solo traveler, visiting Perth to catch up with some friends. I stayed in a double room with a private bathroom. It was perfect for my needs, fully equipped kitchen (although I barely touched it), communal area, pool. It's location was central, only a 5-10 min walk up to the shops and Perth train station. Staff were friendly and helpful! My...

Clean hostel with all you need as a backpacker! There is a swimming pool, a kitchen (was clean!) to cook your own food, and a luggage room. I stored my luggage here during my tour on the west coast (stayed here twice). Luggage room is locked and a key is available at the reception. The hostel is located near a...

Perth like other major Australian city hotels are not cheap and for some weird reason still charges for parking and wifi for a 1st workd country. Even 3-5 star hotels still charges $30 for parking in Perth CBD and thats not even with in/out priviledges and sometimes only at a nearby location. Worst, some cannot quarantee a spot so not...

Simple, clean and very comfortable. Thats what I thought about my stay at the YHA Perth. Very nice kitchen and rooms have good bed, air conditioning (a little noisy) and comfortable beds. The only down point is that if you have trouble sleeping with noise you won't like it. Its really close to the main train station in Perth (for...
