I intended on staying in the emperors crown for a couple of nights but instead stayed a lot longer. The hostel itself is really clean and the rooms are spacious. Some also have a bathroom which is fantastic. The kitchen is nice and big with everything you need. The only down fall is you have to use your own plates...

The emperor's crown is basically build like a hotel and it's pretty clean. Everyday there is a diffrent event with the hostel entertainer Anthea, where you can play games and win a lot of prizes. You can play Foosball, Jenger, Dart, Twister and so on. Even if you have a new idea for a game Anthea is always keen to...

Hi Cindy, We're glad to read that you've enjoyed your stay and we're sorry that it bothered you to bring your own crockery or to get one in exchange for a deposit, which you'll get back when returning it. My friend and I stayed here after booking in at an awful hostel down the road! So, we were pleased when we got here that it was pretty clean and decent. The hostel generally has great facilities. I really liked the fact it had lockers in the rooms that you could fit your whole backpack in. The common areas were...

I spent more than one month in this hostel. Its position is simply amazing: 5 minutes walking from CBD and main train and bus stations, same distance to the staple area for the nightlife. The rooms and the structure overall are clean and confortable. The hostel management organizes daily activities for the guests, providing wonderful prices and vouchers. The strenght...

Emperor's Crown was good value for money, an older hostel and it shows. I only stayed 1 night & it was not far from the CBD with great free buses just around the corner.. The room was pretty dusty & the blinds on the windows were broken, & there was no shower curtain. But the staff were friendly & helpful..
