Initially the stay was good. The rooms were very stuffy at night as they refused to turn on the airconditioning. They later were very rude and expected us to turn in the keys even before check out because we made a cancellation 24 hours before. They were very rude and charged our friends' credit cards without our authorisation. Place was...

When I phoned to book the girl on the phone was really friendly but when I got there the guy at the desk was the rudest person I've ever met. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone I went and stayed somewhere else

Booked it as it is Lonley planets pick. Overall very dispointed with the hostel. No space in room, very warm, no towels, bed bugs, very noisy. We paid $75 per night for a standard double room. It is over priced. Fridge was always packed. In summary hostel is over priced for what you get.

Room: Double en suite, $90 per night Positive Features: Nice and friendly staff Negative Features: Far-off location, confined room (no space to place your luggage without having to climb over it all the time), black long hair in bed (origin unknown), no heating in any of the rooms (in July this results in extremely humid and freezing conditions with misted-up...

Although the hostel was spotlessly clean and situated in a lovely old house complex with a nice laundry and good facilities in the kitchen/eating area, I found my en suite room @ $70 Aus per night for single occupancy very basic with minimum furniture - nowhere to hang anything - and when i asked for a towel, I was told...

Governor Robinsons is a hostel that appears good on the surface but has a few problems that causes it not to be good value for money and quite honestly, overpriced! The hostel I think would suite a more mature crowd. It is very quiet and lacks in atmosphere meaning that there is little to do in the evening. There is...

This place was a welcome site when we first arrived as we had come from a nearby competitor whereby we had checked in and then checked straight out because it was so disgusting. GR looked the part when we arrived, very clean and tidy and with fantastic old furniture and high ceilings - it reminded us very much of the...

We stayed @ Robinson at the end of our WA trip. We booked a dbl ensuite but on arrival they only had a dbl shared available. Which was a shame. Fortunately the bathroom was next to the room and shared with few other rooms. The hostel itself is peacefull (No TV!) and the amenities are quite new . The bathrooms...
