Good location. Queen Victoria market just behind the apartment. Chinatown is just 10 mins walk. The State library is within walking distance and there a lot of eateries nearby. The apartment is clean and we were able to cook our dinner as there is an oven. The downside is the apartment is small for a 2 bedroom apartment.

Although the foyer is grand, the rooms really are not. They are good value for a place to sleep, but the two bedroom we stayed in was very small for two couples. Luckily for us it was a short stay. The service was ok, but hard to find help sometimes. I don't think they value their customers as much as... More

If u were looking for residential living potential - this property is great! But for a 'holiday'no. Hallways were smelly and two bedroom apartment had an internal room. Great pool, spa, gym etc & good proximity to Vic market, Melbourne central etc.

Have stayed here before with another couple. This time we got a good room rate for $120 for a studio room. Nice how the bedroom has a sliding glass door to shut off from the rest of the room. Fully equipped kitchen, but didn't use it. Table and chairs, also a lounge to sit and watch TV. Opening window. Bathroom... More

Good location and next door to ALDI great pool and gym area as well as BBQ area with sitting area to eat. Room was clean with full size fridge. Aircon/heatre very noisy - kept me awake. Reception service fairly poor. I had emailed to enquire re car parking - no reply - rang and received information which I acted upon... More

It was nice accommodation and pretty friendly service. It is very well located very close to the CBD and walking distance to the market. The public transport is very close and it is very close to the free tram zone. And there is a supermarket next door.

We booked two x two bedroom apartments. We could check in to one apartment at 2.00pm, apartment was spotless and well suited for us, unfortunately second apartment was not ready and we couldn't check in until after 4pm. When we did get keys to apartment it was clean and tidy and was on the same floor as the other apartment... More

I chose the Milano as they have two bedroom apartments which have 4 x single beds. Great options for those travelling with friends or children but who don't want to share a bed!!! Location is good, only one tram stop from the free tram and Melbourne Centre. There is Aldi supermarket next door. Nice pool facility. Well equipped kitchen (including... More

We were a little concerned due to previous reviews we had read, but these instantly disappeared upon arrival. Quite a good location, still very central, but without too much hustle and bustle of the city. The fitness centre and pool were some great included amenities. Our kitchen had all of the essentials and loved that the bathrooms was accessible via... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
