Ideal location to walk to restaurants, shopping, train station. Very spacious living areas. A little road noise staying on a lower floor but all solved by sleeping in the rear bedrrom. Good value for money.

Self contained apartment perfect for a few night, could have stayed for a lot longer. The bed was very comfortable and had the parking option which was great. The staff were friendly and very accommodating as we wanted to stay and extra night.

The staff and location were excellent. The room looked old and tired. The bathroom was a disgrace with the bath being pitted which made it look dirty. The water pressure in the shower was extremely poor.

If you need to stay in business or govt heart of Melbourne then this is the place. Friendly and helpful and unobtrusive. Kitchen and facilities great and the lay out of the apartment was excellent. I had a room over the main street and loved it.

Mantra 100 Exhibition was a great location, close to Federation Square and shopping. The apartment was excellent and all staff were very courteous and helpful. The furnishings in the apartment were great and shops close by for meals. Would stay again.

Average, no ice, not as good as Lorne, basic room, but didn't pay much either. Torn curtain, shower over bath not my choice, didn't see the TV guide, couldn't see the TV from the bed, needs another TV

A really great apartment. Clean and well set out with all the mod cons. You can spend a night or a week comfortably. Only downside is there is no dining room for breakfast. Great location and within walking distance to everything in the city. Reasonable cost but expect to pay more on a friday or saturday night. Highly recommended

Room 102. Two room apt. Lowest floor for guests so closest to the traffic. The room closest to the window of course got all the traffic noise and you can hear the noisy passers by on Friday and Saturday nights. Don't blame the hotel for that but the inner bedroom could hear all sorts of sounds from the upstairs tenants...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
