Recently stayed at the Ibis Little Bourke St. Couldn''t fault it- great beds, pillows, friendly informative staff, super location if you need to shop and travel via train - also easily accessible parking at the station car park. All room amenities without the hefty price tag. Would definitely stay again.

One of my favourite things about this hotel is that, despite its super convenient location, it is quiet. That can't be said about most metropolitan hotels! The bed was very comfortable, the staff always friendly and the rooms very clean and cosy. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is worth much more then the small price you pay to stay. We had a twin bed room on level 8. The room was immaculately clean and I couldn't find one speck of dirt or mould in our shower. The room had air con, blow dryer, ironing board, sufficient cupboard and floor space and even offered some foxtel...

The staff where excellent - friendly and helped us with any queries regarding places to go and see. Rooms were nice and cozy. Size was just nice for a family of three. Kitchen was well equipped and staff were very friendly. The hotel and its rooms were very clean. Location was fantastic as it was just a few minutes walk away from everything. Would recommend for those looking for affordable accommodation and great location in CBD.

Great little hotel, very very close 2min walk to Southern Cross station. Staff were very accomodating to let us check in at 9am after we got in on our flight from Sydney. Rooms were very clean, exactly what you would expect for a quick two night stay. Great value for its price.

Stayed for 5 days in Ibis on Bourke. It's reasonably priced and the rooms are slightly small for 2 people. Basic amenities, good location (Southern Cross Station is 5 min walk). Wifi is chargable, nice bathroom, clean and a no view hotel. The staff is overwhelming on service, recommended if travelling alone.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
