Usual hotel room. Well serviced. New internet password from the desk daily was a little irritating but I guess that they may have been able to give us that over the phone. Pleasant staff and good front desk service. Stayed either side of a trip to a family wedding in Canberra.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Second time staying here, such a great location for getting to and from airport with skybus only over the road. I arrived on a late flight, no problem checking-in, they even ask you what time you prefer to have your room serviced during your stay. Which is a great idea if like me you're not an early riser on holiday...

This is an old building that needs attention. The location is reasonable if you are attending Etihad Stadium for football and is on a one way street. Is suitable for short stay and do not have a vehicle. Vehicle parking is via carpark some 700 metres away and real great if you have luggage. There is no valet service and only...

Spotless, and comfy beds. Not the best wifi. 5 mins walk to public tranports, tram, train, skybus (airport shuttle), cafes, direct factory outlets (DFO), supermarkets, asian grocery, restaurants. Check southern cross for groceries and sbacks; the two sides of king street near little bourke for lunch & dinner; check goldsborough lane, corner little bourke & william street for a good...

I like the location, it's near the Bus and Train station and CBD is few steps away. However, there are few things I can't find how to turn off the aircon in winter season (still could turn down the temperature, well, I didn't ask them how to anyway) and there's no free hotel sandals.

Chose this motel for the location and value - quick business trip. The room on the first floor was a good size - very clean but a little in the noisy side particularly first thing in the morning as it backs into a lane where the deliveries come - the real surprise was the staff and food. Came in late...

This hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of Southern Cross Station. Skybus to and from the airport terminates at this stattion as do regional rail and MYKI trains. The free tram service within the CBD makes it easy to reach all the main destinations in the CBD. The hotel is hidden away in a little lane but is...

I stayed here last week with family. I live in Melbourne so this was a chance to stay in a hotel with visiting family. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
