Small, very basic room but was sufficient for our needs as we did not spend much time in it Handy to get to a concert in Melbourne zoo but quite a hike to other places, could be noisy at times but not unbearably so. The bed was ok, not especially comfortable but not horrible either, however the shower badly needs updating, no...

I don't know if it was because it was winter or because it's not the central yha but this hostel was empty, me and my friend had a 8 bed dorm to ourselves the whole weekend which we thought was great. It really close to central took us five minutes to walk in the main shopping district and right next...

I stayed here several times in August 2014. The great thing for me at that time was the secure carpark. Period. It did have a very good kitchen and laundry facility too. Wifi was avalable and was the BEST available in the 8+ yha hostels I stayed at in OZ this year.

I stayed in a quadshare at the YHA Metro for a couple of nights. The room was nice, the lockers are a little on the small side, but I still could fit everything in. There was a desk in the room, and lots and lots of sockets. There even was a floorlenght mirror. The bathrooms were clean - I was...

I frequently visit Melbourne usually stay with YHA. When I have a need to rent a Car I usually stay here because street parking is plentiful and have no issues with noise due to its location in a quiet residential suburb. Location is not right in the city centre but a tram stop is close by. Place always seems to...

I stayed here three nights and I really liked this place! It's YHA quality, so it's clean and tidy and well organized. We had a car and we could park in the hostel parking lot ($7 per day, which is not too bad). The staff at reception was kind and helpful, the kitchen was big and well equipped and clean,...

This was an acceptable YHA and okay place to rest my head. It is pretty far from the central part of Melbourne but still walkable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was okay. Bathroom was a bit dirty. The roof top view is really beautiful.

I ended up staying here for 5 months whilst working in Melbourne, the atmosphere is amazing and I made so many friends, including a lot of the staff too! The rooms are clean and comfy, the common areas, bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned often and are excellent. Every Tuesday (was Wednesday until recently) a travel auction is held by Safari...
