Very good value for being so central to all CBD activities. Visited markets , saw a great show at the Vic theatre with the tram station being just up the road, access to all great restuarants and secret bars was a breeze.

My partner and I stayed at Jasper hotel on a Sunday night as we received a Groupon voucher for a one night stay in a deluxe room. The hotel is located a short walk from Melbourne central station and right next to the Queen Vic market. The check-in process was easy and the lady ensured we knew how to claim...

We booked the Jasper without knowing much about it or Melbourne. The concierge and all the staff were very helpful, and the hotel itself is centrally located and walking distance from the Queen Victoria Market, many malls and parks, and local buses and trams. Whenever we had questions, staff was super helpful, and our room was large, with a cute...

We booked 2 premium courtyard view suites, they were absolutely beautiful but two very different rooms. One included a lounge and kitchen but the other didn't. So one couple felt ripped off. But the small room was worth the room rate regardless!

Check-in was a breeze. Room was big and clean. Nice king bed to sleep on. Good toiletries. Close to Vic market, many choice of eateries, shopping, entertainment and tourist attractions. Free tram rides in the city made travelling easy on the pockets.

The service is outstanding. The staff very pleasant and helpful and the location is great, lots of interesting cafes and restaurants and of course the Queen Victoria Market. The restaurant is great too. We had dinner delivered in our rooms. We will go to the Jasper from now on.

I stayed here just one night and I have to say straight up that's it is indeed a real find, so despite some observations that will follow, it is a really good property all round for price, location and standard. The staff are uniformly excellent; the location whilst an interesting part of the Melbourne CBD, is still a little on...

Hi Shannon M, Thank you for your recent review. With our central location we are unfortunaly unable to eliminate all street noise. We have double glazed all of our windows to try and help with this issue and we do our best to accommodate guest requests. Thank you again for your feedback.

Third stay at this hotel because of the great location and good breakfast and restaurant staff very pleasant and helpful. Couple of down sides this trip though, on Christmas day the restaurant was open for breakfast but not for dinner. However guests were not advised of this at either check-in or by notice anywhere. Also housekeeping let the hotel down...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
