The hotel is very close to Chinatown and the Greek precinct on Lonsdale Street. It is also close to theatres such as Her Majesty's and Princess, and also to Parliament House and the Victorian Government offices in Exhibition Street. It is a short walk to the Fitzroy Gardens (with Captain Cook's cottage etc.). It is very good for shopping and... More

2 bed apartment was good but a few minor maintenance issues with doors in kitchen made place feel a bit tired. Great location for what we wanted, cost over inflated for what we got though. Has gotten a bit tired since last time we stayed without any renovation.

Great location in the city, rooms need upgrading for the price. Stayed for 3 night had a voucher for 2 nights that I had won by staying at other quest apartments with work. Seemed like they didn't want me to use the voucher and made it known and also added a surcharge for the voucher nights (so not complementary after... More

Great location - great place in Melbourne to stay for business or fun, and staff, facilities do need some updating but still ok, as the rooms are large and staff made up for the facilities. all in all a good stay and would recommend

Great central location, noise from trams bell is a little annoying but didn't stop me from sleeping. I had a 2 bedroom room which has a nice layout and a fabulous massive spa bath only issue I really had was no tv in the room which is annoying as you cant lie in bed and watch a movie.

Staff friendly and helpful. No hot Breakfast. Even a continental breakfast would have been great. No Coffee replaced when used. Renovate of Perish in the competition. The bath looked so old I did not want to get in it even for a shower.

Some of the furniture was a little dated and showing it's age but a great location. Carpet was stained and marked so I wore thongs the whole time. My first time in Melbourne but the location made it easy to get around.

The air-conditioning didn't reach into the bedroom. Not good at anytime but especially in summer. Having to climb in and out of a Jacuzzi to have a shower was a safety issue. The lift didn't always work. The staff and the location were great. We had pre-booked for four nights and due to business commitments did not have time to... More

Have the rooms looked at and warning signs put at the spas, especially with children. I was shocked though when Mathew recognised the problem as an ongoing one, yet nothing had been done. My partner, after 4 days is very sore and badly bruised

Excellent location close to everything in central Melbourne. Tram stop outside the hotel is a bonus. Apartment design is good but bathroom is a bit tired. There was an intermittent humming noise that was a bit annoying but overall I would stay here again

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
