This hotel is an unexpected delight. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in an updated business room with breakfast included and turndown service. The room was newly refuburished. The bed was very comfortable with a choice of pillows. Breakfast was a full buffet with barista made coffee included. Papers are available in the foyer to read. Acess...

I cant speak highly enough about this hotel. Firstly I would like to congratulate the entire staff that we encountered throughout the hotel. Very professional and courteous, probably the best staff my wife and I have encountered in all our travels. The hotel itself is very modern with beautifully appointed rooms. Can't fault the quality of the rooms at all....

Rooms on flagstaff garden side have nice park views. Hotel has above average finishes for a business hotel, and has very comfy beds. Good access to Vic markets, short stroll to southern cross station (airport skybus), bit of a hike to CBD. Parking is a few hundred metres away in a commercial carpark.

I have stayed here before and it was good then too. The reception desk directly faces the entrance and I get a friendly smile and 'can I help you" before I have crossed the foyer! Comfortable rooms with excellent showers (newly done up). Restaurant is good for breakfast, lunch special was good for $15, but we didn't eat dinner there....

Comfortable, convenient and fairly priced. Located next to Victoria market and an easy walk to Melbourne Central shopping area with a choice of restaurants and cafes. Trams are at the front door and so no need to get in cabs etc.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
