Excellent location, lovely modern apartment close to everything. Only negative was not told before booking or after that the gym and pool were closed for renovations until 31st December. Able to check in early and reception staff very helpful.

We enjoyed how the hotel was situated in the central city and the rooms were very quiet.and you could not hear loud city noise unless the window was open.Enjoyed how the room had a microwave, toaster and a small dining table. Would definitely stay again.

The location is great, in the heart of the city. But I found the service and attention to our needs to be lacking. Rooms are nice, clean and a good size. They are carrying out a renovation which meant there was no Sauna...big loss. They offered one in another hotel, but that was not what I was after.

Renovations that were taking place on my floor meant the room stank of paint and there was no mention either on the website or during checkin that facilities were not able to be utilised during this time because of the work.

Dear karlg331, Thank you for taking the time to provide us your honest feedback. Sincere apologies for not being informed regarding the renovation works and the limited facilities during this time. If we can make things right, I would be more than happy to offer you a discount on a future stay once all the works are complete. Please call...

Hotel location was the bomb, close to everything. Shopping malls are just minutes away; China Town is one way straight down; bus stops right at the front and tramp stops surround. The hotel facilities were quite nice. Apparently they were doing a huge renovation so the pool, gym and sauna were out of service. These were clearly stated on my...

We stayed two nights due to location and value. Three blocks from Southern Cross Transit centre. Five minute walk. Our room was very standard, tidy and reasonable condition. A small kitchenette behind a folding door. Unfortunately, they had only left us one towel and no bath floor mat, so that wasn't so good and next day, the room had a...

Dear Stevo58, Thank you so much for providing your honest yet constructive feedback regarding your stay with us. The room booked was a Studio room and yes it is somewhat cosy for a better word. We do have one, two and three bedroom apartments which are huge in comparison to the studio. I have addressed your concerns with the housekeeping...

These apartments are spacious and very comfortable. They are in a great location, quiet, central, close to free public transport shopping and tourist attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Apartment had plenty of natural light and everything you would need to prepare a meal.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
