Accommodation was adequate and rooms were well kept. Disappointed that no access to Fox Sports (apart from Fox Footy) was available. As a business traveller and quite often relax in the room with room service at the end of the day the sports channels are welcomed.

A not unpleasant, very clean, functional room convenient to the location of my conference. The ultra modern design of the bathroom, without a screen to prevent water spillage onto the floor, was intriguing and a small challenge. Since I was expecting a visit from a colleague for a post-conference meeting on the checkout day, assiduous use of a towel was...

A great place to stay in Melbourne CBD...affordable...clean quiet rooms with balcony. A lovely bar area to relax. Parking available on site. Walking distance to Her Majesty's Theatre Chinatown and shopping arcades. Friendly courteous staff. Definitely will return.

Great location as its near city centre but thats about it. Way over priced and definitely not a 5 star or even 4 star hotel. Should be priced as it really is as a 3 star accommodation. Outdated other then new beds and abit of paint but overall not worth the $300 plus per night price tag.

This was our 2nd time at this hotel and the location makes getting around the city so easy. We also have a large car so the open air carpark across the road makes it so easy for us to park and leave our car.. The room was an executive king suite, not much room to move about, but the bed...

Sorry way overpriced for what you get parking is annoying and at your own risk, breakfast was like eating plastic, had a steak at the bar was still alive was so undercooked, the shower set up is no good for adults, they need lessons on how to clean a room properly not just make the bed.

Nowhere to store any toiletries except on the floor as there was no vanity bench or underneath cupboard and step up shower overflowed every time onto bathroom floor requiring us to use our towels to mop up the mess after every shower.

Spent a few days here mid October. First impression was not good. A fairly insignificant entrance, blink and you'll miss it, made worse by someone having barfed up their lunch on the steps from the street. However once past the mess the reception was small but well designed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were even happier...

The hotel was in a great location and central for shopping and theatres. However the decor was quite tired, our bathroom really small and the room was noisy we could easily hear the people talking in the next room. The breakfast was nice and included in the price of the room.

Handy position if you want accommodation close to all concert venues, plenty of places to find a meal. While the rooms are dated but quite comfortable. We will stay again when travelling to Melbourne.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
