Excellent location. Easy to get to Rod Laver Arena via 2 trams. Not the Hilton, but great value when you are an Accor member. Staff all great. Loved the buffet breakfast. Room was small but provided everything we needed. If you want the Hilton - PAY the money!

The accommodation was clean, modern and comfortable. The location was great and very central in the middle of the city. The bars and restaurant amenities were sufficient given the limited space of the building on the ground floor. An update of the layout of the bar area could be considered. Enjoyed the stay for business purposes.

Our second visit to this ' So convenient ' Hotel. Great location and easy to connect with all transport. The Concierges ,once again, proved their capability, with knowledge, helpfulness, and manner. Always willing to help and set us in right direction, and do bookings for us. Check-in was very efficient and our room was already prepared on arrival. For 4...

A very nice hotel and cheap considering it is right in the heart of Melbourne. Everything you could want in the rooms with great service and a beautifully prepared buffet breakfast. I will definitely stay here again.

An average room in an average hotel. I regret not spending a little bit extra to get a hotel with better views, our view was of a wall ofg the building next door. Great location, very centrally located but the room was dissapointing, it resembled a bedsit with a small kitchen in it.

This is a great location and not too bad a sleeping box if you are out all day and attending shows etc in the eve BUT it is somewhat tired and in need of a makeover especially soundproofing the plumbing - although it did not bother me to much this was an intrusion not anticipated - YUP have grown used...

We were a bit hesitant having read some recent reviews, but the hotel was terrific. We stayed for two nights and were very happy with our choice and of course the price. The location is excellent right in the middle of the city, close to Bourke St and near to Chinatown. The staff were helpful and welcoming, nothing was too...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
