The hotel is located very close to the Southern Cross Station and so to the Sky bus terminal (direct airport connection). Also very close to the city center. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. The price is fair. Free WiFi was not always easily available.

The Atlantis hotel is an excellent Melbourne accommodation option for the budget conscious traveller - very comfortable rooms, convenient CBD location and pleasant staff. Convenience to airport Skybus was an additional benefit.

For one night only, this Hotel suited our need. Arriving via Skybus from Melbourne Airport after a10 hr. 30min. flight from the US state of Hawaii, we need to be close to Docklands to catch a ferry to our home town. Due to a lack of accommodation and high prices due to the Grand Prix being in town, when this...

Rooms clean and tidy. Girl at reception....rude and unhelpful. Wouldn't stay again if I had to deal with her. If you book on booking.com be prepared to pay for parking, there is nothing on the website to say you have to pay...

We stayed here for the weekend, the accomodation was clean modern and the location was fantastic. It was a 5 minute walk to Etihad stadium a 10 minute walk to harbour town. The city circle tram was just at the door so access to the city was so easy . Atlantis offers parking too $15 onsite 👍will most definitely be...

We only needed something for one night, so it did us well. The best part is the location! Middle of everything & I guess that's what your paying for. No minibar or anything like that, just a bed, desk & bathroom. The 1 and only window we had to look out side was so dirty we could hardly see out...

Made a booking via HotelsCombined, arrived at the hotel to which didn't have a record of the booking, I showed them how I book and my credit card statement. I was told that I should contact the website to resolve, the hotel staff member couldn't of cared less, didn't even offer to call or use their phone!!! I called the...

Stayed here for 4 nights, its a splendid hotel conveniently situated very close to Southern Cross Station and the terminal for the Sky Bus servicing the airport. Also opposite a police station, local prison, tram route and the Etihad Stadium. Rooms are large and spacious, immaculately clean, wonderful shower and an all you can eat breakfast for $12

Room was clean although a bit worn. Bed was very comfortable, and toilet was spacious enough with expectation met. Good value if you need a hotel near central train station in Melbourne for an overnight stay. The price for parking compared to car parks around melbourne and wifi not being included (and quite expensive) is a enormous minus.

Me and my hubby stayed here last Sunday night. Because of the motel's location, being close to Etihad stadium. Because we where going to the football. We were really happy with our room, the bed was super comfy, and the room was clean and quiet. The parking is responsibly priced too. I highly recommend this motel and we will definitely...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
