I strongly advise not to stay in the hotter months, it was awful!! Despite being on the 8th floor the "breeze" coming in through the window was not enough to cool our 2-bedroom "apartment"!! The fans supplied weren't the greatest, they were just blowing the hot air back at you, and they were extremely noisy. They didn't have an iron,...

My husband 22 year old daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights. We arrived at midnight after a day which had been about 38degrees. The room was extremely hot, the windows open, barely enough to get in any air & the " climate control" described in the advertising is a pedestal fan! I think that in cooler weather this...

We stayed here for cup week in a two bedroom apartment. We had our two small children with us and my mother to help mind them. We had read the previous reviews and were a little hesitant to book, but the price for an entire week's stay for five of us could not be beaten! We have been pleasantly suprised....

A great location for visiting the city but the nightclub music from a building next door till 6am on Saturday and Sunday morning was unbearable. Never would I stay here over the weekend again. Sunday, Monday Tuesday nights were fine.

Rarely am I as pleasantly surprised as I was when I checked into the Carlton Residence during my recent visit to Melbourne. For those interested in reasonably priced, apartment-style accommodation, read on. I stumbled on this hotel quite by accident, while searching for reasonably priced accommodations near the Melbourne CBD for a 3 day stay. As it was AFL Grand...

Awful lighting. Not enough blanket to keep warm and the crapiest, loudest tiny heater you could find. Crap dirty furniture too. Ive never written a review before but this place needed it.

On the upside- the reception staff are friendly and helpful. We loved the location and it is nice to have some basic cooking facilities. It was hard to find something with a kitchenette in this price range and so close to city. Just a short walk to lots of eateries in Lygon St. On the downside- the bed ( which...

We needed a hotel with 2 bedrooms for 1 night. After struggling to find anywhere under $250 a night i stumbled upon this hotel. The reviews weren't great but as it was only 1 night we thought we'd bite the bullet. The hotel is situated at the far end of Swanston street which seems to be the main throughfair in...

My daughter and I spent 4 nights at the Carlton Residence Apartments in March 2012 on the 8th floor in a 2 bed apartment with kitchen, small living area, bathroom and great views up Swanston Street. Very happy with hotel, front office staff, and security as guests need a card to access building after 8 pm as well as lifts...
