Very comfortable, everything you could need, the breakfast each morning was a great bonus, location was fantastic, so close to everything, my daughter and I had two single beds, staff were helpful and friendly, I would definitely stay here again.

I got a great fantastic deal for a one night stay. Great location for a city stay, near the corners of Elizabeth and Collins Streets. The rooms are very clean with the basic toiletries provided, air dryer, tea and coffee making facilities, comfortable bed, nice linen. Close to shopping in Melbourne's CBD, Myer, Emporium, Bourke st mall and restaurants. I...

Very nice clean room but no food service, no pool or spa, no free wifi. Great location though, walking distance to heart of city. Tucked away in a little alley way located next to great restaurants and cafes. Staff are friendly. We found the bed a bit stiff.

I booked this hotel on the way in from Tullamarine airport. I knew I wasn't going to be spending a lot of time in this hotel. Price and location were the key factors in choosing this hotel. My business event was two blocks away and even though I arrived just after 10 AM the hotel, they accommodated me into my...

My client booked this property for a 5-night work trip to Melbourne. It was my first stay here, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The location was great. The property doesn't offer an extensive mini-bar, room service meals, or on-demand movies, but I don't expect that at this price....

If you want a clean, inexpensive, well located hotel in Melbourne CBD, you can't go past the Causeway 353. I have stayed here for work, every year for the past four years and it is always dependable. The staff are happy and welcoming and the rooms are quiet and comfortable. Just outside the hotel in the lane way are fabulous...

Room was comfortable and clean. Location was handy to everything but still felt private enough. Staff were friendly at the reception desk and held our bags the following day while we went shopping which we appreciated. Would recommend for short, affordable stay in city for business or leisure

We stayed here for our 1 year married anniversary and enjoyed many things about this hotel. The hotel has good sized rooms and good service, it's clean in the rooms and the mini bar is well priced. The hotel has no restaurant or room service but it's location is so central it doesn't really need it. The walls are pretty...

Stayed here thanks to work before, very central and comfortable. I needed a needle and thread, none at housekeeping so reception called its sister hotel and had one sent over from there. Really good service, everyone on reception friendly and efficient.

Windows are filthy, had to do a room change due to water not getting hot and a running toilet, staff were very efficient in getting that sorted. onsite restaurant was closed and solution was to walk to another hotel for our included breakfast. (No refunds) Staff are good to deal with and the internet packages available for purchase are great,...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
