We saw this place advertised in the Bendigo eating and shopping guide. They also had a very slick website boasting traditional values, pub grub and family friendly. We pitched up looking for a good bar meal in the afternoon only to be told the kitchen was closed, but we could get a pie from the shop next door and bring...

Great food, excellent range of beer, happy staff, great location....An overall a very satisfying experience when we call in for a home made pie and locally brewed beer. The old time facade adds to the feeling of this place.

The pies came recommended by a local after sampling the beer at another restaurant. I can only comment on what our group had - big rich lamb and rabbit pies and some tasty chicken ones washed down with some of the house brews. It was a filling, large, country pub lunch. We were satisfied and in need of an afternoon...

We are regulars at this joint. My wife particularly likes it, and we go to it every two or three weeks. Our regular entrée is of a good standard and tasty - duo of dips. They used to have the bread pre-sliced but now they provide a bun the customer must slice. OMG, burnt fingers. Suffice to say no one...

We booked a table asking for the old room near the fireplace. Not for the warmth as it's summer, more for the atmosphere. We were instead seated in the function room, which was full of blow flies. I'm not kidding we had to swipe the flies away as we ate our awful dinner. Maybe the manager was away or not...

Can't get much more Aussie than a meat pie and a cold beer. The meat pies here are superb chunky offerings in perfect puff pastry. The beers are craft beers brewed on the premises. I did not bother to try anything else from the menu as I had already reached pie and beer perfection.

No-one is a bigger fan of the country pub, boutique brewery and local business, damn it but here's the BUT; we were a bit disappointed with the food at this pub. It was nice but (there must be a better word) $20 for a 9 inch pizza I could have done better at home is not great value. The special,...

We stopped in here for lunch on our way home from Echuca. It's a beautiful old historic hotel with loads of interesting history. Their beers were nice and the food was good. All in all, an enjoyable stopover.

The Tooborac Hotel is on the main road to Echuca and is a nice stopover. The small town is located in a lovely rural area with an abundance of bird and animal life nearby. The Hotel and brewery provide good meals and friendly Aussie service. We attended the annual Oktoberfest celebration where locals dressed accordingly and we had a wonderful...

Wonderful country pub with tasty food and a great selection of their own brewed beers. Do yourself a favour and stop here for a drink and lunch/dinner. You may meet some interesting folk too. We certainly did, each time we stopped
