We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Grand Vue Private Hotel. Warm, welcoming and comfortable, the location was ideal for our five night stay. The big bay window allowed an amazing view over the harbour and Mt Wellington. Our family of four (two young adult offspring) were able to walk to Salamanca Place and Hobart's waterfront and CBD. The cosy...

We stayed here for two nights last May. Sorry am a bit late with my review. Our room was superb. Beautiful bed and wonderful linens. Lovely bathroom and excellent toiletries. Divine antique furniture. We had room 6 with a little kitchenette which was great for a light breakfast and a view of the Derwent River. Our hosts were fabulous. We...

So utterly charming! From the large, brass handled front door, the kind elderly man who checked us in to the complimentary small sugar dusted muffins we came back to after dinner. Our little suite was so beautifully appointed, we were sad to only have one night there. With a large comfortable bed, small seating area by large bay windows, a...

This private hotel has only 8 rooms and it beautifully cared for. We stayed 4 nights in a waterview room. The access to food on Hampden made it perfect. Coffee shops opened ready early and restaurants opened late. It requires some walking up and down Kelly stairs to get into town which really wasn't a problem.

We were so welcome and comfortable at the Grand Vue and highly recommend it. I realized that with only two nights in Hobart (it deserves more ... I know!) the place we selected had to be central (as we were without a car) and special as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I am saying that I researched many, many...

So much to like about this hotel. The location is wonderful, a nice walk to Salamanca and Franklin Wharf and the city, and all the attractions of Battery Point right there. The room was absolutely amazing, with a view over Sandy Bay and the Derwent from a big bay window. We could just look out there at night and feel...

I have to say this hotel really surprised us, the photos truly do it no justice. All the details of the room say historical and charming...but with a bit of a modern twist. We stayed in room 1 with a view to the main road and water front, it was perfect, spacious, convenient and nice and warm in the bedroom...

We loved our stay at the Grande Vue Hotel. The room was gorgeous, beautiful, clean, large, quiet, amazing views and had every facility needed. The hotel is well situated in the heart of Battery Point. John helped us every day, including providing home cooked treats each afternoon.
