My husband and I loved staying here. The rooms are beautiful and very tastefully decorated. The small kitchenette is very handy and we loved the homemade muffins that were still warm and delivered to our room one afternoon. The lobby and sitting room when you enter the hotel is also stunning. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this...

A gracious private hotel established in a private home 80 years ago, the Grande Vue Hotel is in a charming, old neighborhood of Hobart where shipping magnates built their homes in the 1800s. The room was lovely with a beautiful view of the water. The hosts made all the difference, leaving home baked pastries in the afternoon, helping with suggestions...

My wife and I chose to stay at this boutique hotel whilst in Hobart. The room we were assigned to had the most majestic views of Mount Wellington and the Casino, marinas and of the Derwent river. Very comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom/spa. Kitchenette with tea making facility. Room serviced daily. It's the neatest and quietest hotel. A good selection of...

First up, in room 4, AMAZING views over the water. Great location, very quiet, and the room is very comfy, albeit a bit stuffy. Cleanliness, and very well maintained. Downside - the lack of a bath in a very expensive property, and no mention of that on the site. The fact that they control the heating. And the lack of...

The property is in a perfect location and a wonderful heritage building. However the operators need to look after their guests. On arrival, a quick hello with quick discussions on the area, the property and its facilities. We were lucky to see the operators at all during the day and only saw to drop off breakfast supplies which were nothing...

Great location, fabulous rooms, beautifully kept and really helpful and attentive owners. The views are amazing, Battery Point is very special and just 15 minute walk to Salamanca Place. Perfect! It is a gem of a hotel and we just loved staying here. Definitely recommend staying here.

Location: Perfect for eating out and sight seeing. 5 minutes walk to the local restaurant precinct and another 5 minutes to Salamanca Place. Being in a residential street it's also nice and quiet. Room: We had the Turret room for 3 nights which we were very happy with. All the genuine original features as described. Nice big spa bath, lovely...

You know when you enter a place and it feels right -this is one of those. This place is what I expect and more -the view over the water to a slight knock on the door delivering still warm orange cupcakes Couple of minute walk to a great pub The Shipmakers Arms or various other eateries. If you want the...

We stayed in the ocean view queen suite for 3 nights and loved everything about this place. The location was amazing! A 10 min walk through beautiful historic streets and you were in Salamanca square. We had beautiful views across the bay. We got hot home baked cakes each afternoon which was a lovely touch. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was...

From the minute we walked through the grand entrance and met John, we knew our choice was a good one. Majestic, quiet, clean and comfy, perfect in every respect. The view from our corner room over the harbour and city, toward Mt Wellington was worth the cost of the room, end of story. Cleaning and servicing also great, not to...
