Heading to Wrest Point, I didn't have high expectations. First casino in Australia, old building, lots of 'tired' words in TripAdvisor reviews. And yet, I really quite liked it! The old concrete tower block which houses the hotel is dated, but still appeals in an odd way. Reception is manned by friendly staff in pleasant is not spectacular surroundings -...

This hotel is a five star hotel with very good reputation and excellent view. We tried to book via agoda for eight days in Lunar New Year.We did not want to change hotel so we choosed room with free cancellation policy in both Wrest Point and Best Western Hotel. We managed to get only six days out of eight days...

We ordered Squid as an Entree. It came with 4 sallad leaves, a mini dish of about 3 tiny squids and 2 cut up pieces of squids, which were really chewy, in a fatty sauce and another fatty chili dip and nothing else. That dish was over $15 and not worth the price.

Hotel a bit tired. We ate in The Loft Restuarant which was average. Our room had magnificent views overlooking the bay. We were on the 12th floor. Room was clean and comfortable. Easy parking and easy to find way from airport in our hire car.

Clean comfortable good condition but needing a up grade. It is the hotel by the Austalias first casino. Built in the 70tys and starting to show its age. Its not a big hotel and being round there was no dust in the corners. But a good place to stay and rest for a rew days.

I stayed at Wrest Point in one of the Water Edge rooms for six nights while attending a conference held at Wrest Point. At checkin, I was told that the hotel required payment up front and also that it would impose a 3% surcharge for payment by American Express. This was not a problem but I found it annoying that...

We stayed on the 9th floor in the tower, tip, be sure you ask for a room in the tower with a harbour view, otherwise you will find yourself in the old part of the building without a view. The room was clean with a full bar fridge and serviced daily. Staff were really friendly but was disappointed with the...

we stayed in the water edge building of the hotel and not in the main tower. the main tower is pretty tall and has both bay and mountain view. My guess will be the price you pay will go higher as you go to the higher floor. the water edge building is a stand alone building. lonely corridors and quiet...

Water Edge hotel within the Wrest Point Casino complex is a restored Art Deco building. Sadly the restoration is not very sympathetic to the old building but at least none of the old features have been removed. The rooms have been modernised and are clean, comfortable and roomy. The ensuite bathroom was small and but clean. The staff are attentive....

The views, the service, the amenities and the staff were amazing. I would prefer a shower that wasn't over a bath but the bed was super comfy and everything else was top notch with an incredibly low room rate! Would definitely come back.
