We got married here 12 years ago and after the cancellation of our European trip for my 40th, we wanted to hold an intimate dinner for friends and family. There was a little hesitation with the hotel being for sale and a change over of chefs still underway, but Shy and the team were fantastic. Our biggest thank you is to Fabio, who was engaged to prepare and cook our 6 course degustation dinner only a couple of days before. His attention to detail, passion and quality of food was outstanding and we couldn’t have asked for more. It made our night even more special. This is a wonderful hotel. We stayed in a garden room this time with a mountain view which was more modern but well appointed. We can’t say thank you enough for hosting a fantastic event and helping us create more special memories. Heather & Lee…
Terrific position just out of the CBD which provided brilliant views of Mt Wellington rather than the more typical orientation to the harbour, with a walking track right on the doorstep. The beautiful garden surrounding the hotel was an added bonus and contributed to our relaxation. Extremely comfortable, spacious room. Great breakfast. Would return in a flash.
Such a great stay at this small boutique hotel just outside of Hobart CBD. The property is beautiful and room was spacious and well appointed. We stayed in one of the garden rooms facing Mt Wellington, waking up each morning to that view was so nice. Location was an easy 20-30 min scenic walk into the City or Cascade Garden/Brewery via the rivulet around the corner. All the staff were genuinely friendly and could not be more accommodating. A special mention to Glen, Kat and Shy.. Glen you're a talented chef, the food was delicious and well presented (that NYE Degustation you did was outstanding). Kat and Shy you are both awesome people too, way too many good things to mention but one of the highlights was certainly the picnic you organised for us for our anniversary. Thank you for making our stay so memorable! Heidi and Julie…
Beautifully restored residence with beautiful artwork. Service level from staff was astute with great attention to detail and friendliness. Would recommend to those wanting to stay somewhere beautifully appointed with character.
We spent 1 week here over Christmas and could not fault the property at all. The staff were helpful and thoughtful and the breakfast was sensational! The property is just gorgeous with loads of art and felt extra special. Thanks Chef for our little Christmas gift. It was the best mushroom risotto I’ve ever made!
