The hotel is in a great location the staff were excellent, we arrive early around 9am they located a room that had just checked out and they had it cleaned and ready in less than 20 minutes.
The room was spotless and had every we required it was large and the King bed was very comfortable with full blockout curtains and very quite.

Second time staying here, very handy location to the Salamanca markets and restaurants. Only a short walk to numerous pubs and great eateries.
Newly renovated, rooms are fully self contained with kitchen and there is a complementary laundry available, along with off street parking.

My wife and I stayed at Salamanca Inn recently after getting married. We were very impressed with the size of our suite, we stayed for only one night and felt we would be very happy staying for much longer given the amenities ... not that we’d have needed it, being on the footsteps of so many great restaurants, bars and pubs in the Salamanca area. Added benefit of car parking in such a prime location was also appreciated.

The location was excellent. I think that is why our tour company booked our group of five (one king room and one two bedroom suite) at this location. But if you were looking for curb appeal, this hotel does not have that.
We arrived at almost 11:00 pm for a three night stay. The front door was locked so we had to go through the parking garage to get to the front desk. The night manager was nice enough but apparently didn't know the property well because when the other couple with us, and the single, checked into their two bedroom suite expecting to get two bathrooms, he didn't realize that was not the case.
That suite had an upstairs master bedroom with an adjoining bathroom. The second bedroom downstairs had to go upstairs to use the bathroom. Not a great layout even if they were all friends.
The rooms were adequate. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was functional. But I just felt like it was all a little worn. Not bad. Just not really good.
There was no view to speak of. The hotel is on a slight hill in the middle of the block. The building is not tall enough to have rooms overlooking Salamanca Fields, the harbor or the Parliament House Gardens. But I will say that Salamanca Place is less than 100 meters away which provides plenty of places to get a bite to eat.
So I didn't hate the place. I didn't love the place. It was a good place to lay my head after a day of exploring the city but I would probably look for other accommodations if I were to return to Hobart.

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved every minute of it. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient on check in and whenever we had a query. We had free parking undercover, which was great when we were out all day on tours.
We were impressed with the cleanliness, quietness, presentation, and efficient use of space in our apartment. We were on level 1, which also had the free laundry close by, so that was very convenient. Washing powder is supplied as well. We loved the bed, it was so comfortable. We loved the heated floors even more, particularly as Hobart was experiencing a cold snap that meant the outside temperature was in single digits.
The bathroom was reasonably spacious with a shower over bath combination. A full sized mirror is on the back of the door - a nice addition. The apartment was serviced every day, which was very much appreciated.
There are kitchen facilities and a dishwasher. A fridge with mini bar items available - be aware that the bottled water is not complementary and cost $4 each. We had room service one night and ordered pizza. The pizza was dinner plate size and while very tasty was quite expensive, but you often expect to pay a premium for this service.
The apartments are conveniently located for an easy walk into central Hobart, Salamanca Markets, multiple restaurants, the waterfront, tour access, Battery Point etc. Slightly further afield you can find a Woolworths and Coles and other small shops in Sandy Bay.
Overall we loved our little home away from home and would gladly stay here again.

Very pleased with our stay. We are a family of 4, our children were very comfortable sleeping in the bunk beds in a seperate room, and our bed was very comfortable too. The room was well fitted with a kitchenette that supplied everything, kitchen table and long room, and the bathroom was great too. Very clean, friendly staff, perfect location to restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Quiet location, would stay there again.

Very central to the wharf area and all the shops & cafes around Salamaca Place with parking, although our two bedroom unit @ nearly $400 for 3 people was a bit exy. The room was across the street at Salamanca Mews. Clean enough, no view from balcony considering the cost and there were serviettes and tissues stuffed into the corners of the sofa. The sofa itself could do with replacing as you sank through the seat cushions, you may as well have been sitting on the floor.
Not entirely horrible, but that room could have some attention to detail thrust upon it. Would look to stay in a different room next time.

Our recent stay was enhanced by the ease of finding it, the parking, the free wifi and the pool and spa. The location is great for visiting the wharf for dinner, catching buses and ferries around Hobart and walking to the Salamanca Market. Rooms are light, comfortable, clean and well equipped while staff are helpful and friendly.
We will happily stay again as the venue is centrally located and so handy to many wonderful Hobart features.

We stayed in this clean and well equipped place for 5 nights. The room has everything you need. Hotel facilities include a pool and spa which we used frequently. We also enjoyed the complimentary use of the laundry. This made travelling with a baby a lot easier! The room is spacious and quiet, free car parking on site.
As the only negative comment - I was surprised to hear that if we wanted a cot for our baby we would be charged $15 extra per night. We declined. We’ve stayed in many other hotels were this was provided free of charge. I would have been happy to pay a one of fee but per night seems a little steep.

We decided to stay at the Salamanca Inn on this visit to Hobart because of its ease of parking and access. We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated and very good value. It was set up in such a way that we were able to watch TV in absolute comfort, As well, reception, bar and restaurant areas were all welcoming, tasteful and comfortable. There is an overall sense of calm about the Salamanca Inn - absolutely beautiful!
