With easy walking access to Hobart Centre as well as many other attractions, our stay was made even more memorable by the exceptional hospitality of the hosts of The Lodge. Our room in ''The Convict Cottage" was perfect...wish we could have stayed longer! Our experience was nothing short of fabulous.

The hotel management are friendly and helpful. A short walk up Elizabeth Street the hotel is convenient to the city. Easy on street parking for guests. We found it easy to navigate to and from this location (not that Hobart is a tricky place). The hotel has a lovely sitting room with coffee chocolates and port to unwind in.

This is a beautiful heritage B&B. It is right in Hobart, so close to everything one needs. The bedrooms are gorgeous, with fabulous en-suite bathrooms. The breakfast is great and, again, the room is lovely and 'old-worldy'. The gardens are so pretty and the people who run this establishment couldn't be nicer. They were so friendly and helpful. Couldn't wish... More

Our stay at The Lodge on Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful. We've never received such personalized care and you could tell that the owners, Jeff and Julie really care about people and what they do. The lodge was very clean and upon arrival, we were given a tour of the place including the living area that offered complimentary Port wine, eclairs,... More

First of all do not get this place mixed up with the Hobart Lodge, which is further up Elizabeth Street. This place is a true "grand old lady" perched high looking down on the corner of Elizabeth and Warwick Streets. There are around 41 steps up from the front gate at street level to the front door but there is... More

Excellent service. Pleased with everything. What is said about them on their website is what you've get. Clean rooms, excellent location, good breakfast and very well maintained. Jeff was the highlight during the stay and gave all tips about sight seeing amd managing and booking tours. Would be suitable for couples or family or solo travellers. I wouldn't look for... More

The Lodge on Elizabeth was our first port of call in Hobart and it and the owners set the bar high. The Lodge is a beautiful building with a well stocked guest lounge and a vast breakfast spread. The owners were an amazing source of information and help when approached. Both were truly lovely and charming.
