Booked two studio rooms for family stay. Communication from time made booking to checking in was excellent. Good views, spacious room & bathroom. Convenience of washer & dryer. Easy walk to water front, Battery Point, Museums, restaurants.
We were in a 9th level room. Our view was over units but not unpleasant. The door opened for fresh air. The housekeeping was great and our room was cleaned and pleasant to come back to after a long day sightseeing. We booked an extra day and the male receptionist was a bit grumpy and when we drove in the last night our card would not open the parking gate. It was fixed with a smile by the female receptionists. The washing machine and dryer worked well. I would stay here again.
On arrival we were upgraded from a Hotel room to a Studio on Level 10. The view over the Derwent was spectacular, the amenities in the room superb and the breakfasts and dinners in the restaurant pleasing. We will definitely stay here again because of its centrality and because of the standard of our experiences.
Stayed here with friends on a bike trip. Rooms and staff are good. Plenty or parking on site. Would recommend this hotel. Easy check in, nothing was a problem. Great location to Salamanca and other attractions
We had spent 4 days camping in various parts of Tassie and just wanted to come to a beautiful hotel to pack wash and bathe. Checkin was bland. The eftpos terminal was malfunctioning and after to failed attempts, another staff member piped up to say this one was not working and to try another... which was successful. No mention of my booking requests and no breakfast vouchers provided which as you will take note later, we’re required. No assistance with our luggage provided, so if you have an injury, suck it up. I had requested access to a vacuum cleaner as we had to vacuum pack some of our camping gear and this was no hassle. Parking is in a private parking bay at $10/night and you get a piece of paper to put into the windscreen. Access to the hotel is off the main drag. The roominess of our 1 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor, was great. We had loads of space to unpack and repack everything. The washing machine washed well but when it came to the dryer, it failed. I was able to dry two loads. The machine kept failing and cutting back in and out. The staff member who took a look, said to just put up with it. The kitchen was well equipped, however, I had to unpack my own cutting board. The dishwasher washed. The tea towel dried. The tea caddy was full and most welcomed. The bathroom supplies were lovely. The body bars smelled amazing and I don’t normally take “soaps” home, but I did take these ones. The towels were plush and in abundance. The bath was long and my husband who is 6’7” really loved being able to lie in the hot water.... which eventually came. After running the tap for 10-15 minutes as per the receptionist instructions, we got hot water. This had to be done in the kitchen as well. I didn’t need hot water in the other sinks so a massive savings of water there! The king bed linen was crisp. The pillows were of all different shapes and sizes. There were old blankets and funnily enough, they were not woollen. The bed was old and there were dips in the mattresses where others have lied for many years. The lounge area was also very rustic. The carpets could have been upgraded during the COVID19 shutdown. In fact what a wonderful opportunity to have done a full refurb. New beds carpets and white goods. Breakfast was included in our $260/night room rate, but this was missed at the check in and when we turned up for breakfast I had to get out my booking to convince the lady we were there for our breakfast. The food was lovely. They catered well to my allergens which are many and varied. The staff were super helpful and smiled throughout our interactions. We didn’t use any of the amenities so can’t comment. …
