We had the best time whilst staying at The Rydges, staff were soo accommodating nothing was ever a problem for them. Huge choice for breakfast and dinner was excellent! Had a chat with the Gardiner he was soo friendly and helpful! Not far to walk to shops although a little bit hilly at times as is all of Hobart! The...

First impression was like walking into a rambling old Mansion. It did not disappoint. The Manor room looked cosy at first glance, then we discovered the second bed was screwed to the wall, the refrigerator was iced up and the microwave didn't work. The staff were helpful and efficient. Food was quite good. No transport easily available for for downtown...

It was not our first choice for an overnight stay after the Symphony, however, with lots of events on in Hobart it was near impossible to obtain affordable accommodation in town. At $160 for a one- bedroom apartment in the 'newer' part of the hotel is was our best option. We were pleasantly surprised at the space we were provided...

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen with microwave was very handy. Comfortable bed. Spacious. Old I know, but we didn't have a problem with that. I would have liked a TV in the bedroom. View over the North Hobart Oval was pleasant. Handily placed if you have a vehicle.

When we walked into our room (the Manor), we couldn't believe the size and grandness. There was plenty of space and antique furniture that added character. Everything was clean and fresh and would love to stay in this room for a longer period of time

The rooms are a little tired but the bed was very comfortable and you have everything you need. Staff were very helpful. Dining room staff need a little more training about the food, bur were very friendly but we were a large group and may have over whelmed them. Would stay there again. We were a large group there for...

Ewwwww! Is all I can say. Dirty moldy horrible - no aircon or fan, small sandpaper squares for towels, creaky old world (charm??) but free internet. Breakfast was shocking. Go to local cafe instead. Why is there an empty 1900 potpourri jar and laced bed dressings?

Website photo's bore no resemblance to actual room. Not a true Rydges hotel. Wardrobe so musty, would not hang clothes. Bathroom very very old. Had to walk down poorly lit pathway through garden to reach Room, not great safe environment for females. Staff were friendly enough.

We stayed here for 4 nights...we booked two rooms with two single beds in each...the beds were a king single and to die for...we all had perfect nights sleeps...it was quite cool and noticed that the heating came on automatically ...decent sized rooms and our breakfasts were included ...probably the only fault was I loved the pancakes at breakfast and...

Hands down the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in in a long time. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and well looked after. Highly recommend a visit. (Handy location too!) Would definitely stay here again. (I have actually, but I'm a repeat, repeat visitor)
