I booked a night at the Grand Chancellor as a surprise for my sister for her birthday. we arrived at around 11.30am and asked if we could leave our luggage. The reception person checked our room and told us it was ready & that we could book in then. When I mentioned it was my sister birthday he quickly tapped...

This is a great hotel to stay at; excellent and attentive service and great sleeping. Harbour views are fantastic and location ideal. The after 10:00 pm room / food service needs a facelift. Essentially just variations of toasted Sandwiches and mine was not great. So if you're a late traveller, you might want to get a snack on the way....

Good middle-class hotel. Our room was renovated, quite big and had a wonderful view over the harbour. The check-in/check-out was quick and friendly. The location is superb, 1 minute to the waterfront, less than 10 minutes to the city centre.

From the location to the staff to the check in experience everything was excellent. The harbour view was brilliant. Big and bright room with a large bathroom (with a bath). A short stroll to the famed Salamanca area and a heap of restaurants and pubs

Very disappointed in the experience and will discuss this with Virgin particularly room position. To pay for self parking in a Hotel such as the Grand Chancellor is disgusting and no Porter service on arrival ,as we are not young any more I thought was not good enough.
