Location was awesome, noise didn't bother us at all.. Staff were extremely helpful. Mini bar prices were as cheap as supermarket prices. Room was very clean and comfortable.. Definitely will stay there again.

We stayed here for the first two nights of our tour of Tasmania. Whilst we were not overly impressed with the appearance of the outside of the building, which is more of a motel rather than a hotel, we had a very warm welcome from the staff on reception. Our room on the top floor had good views, was large...

The (lack of) welcome on arrival was the worst part of my stay. I arrived quite late and tired, but the clerk at check in could offer no more than a brusque financial transaction. Not even a 'how was your trip?' or 'how has your day been?' Room itself was pretty comfortable, but on a lower floor overlooking the traffic...

Stayed here two nights Tuesday 11 & Wednesday 12. Terrific hotel. Centrally located and great value for money. As a family of 4 we are in a shared family room...Dbl + 2xS but the room has a small kitchenette and separate corner table window looking out towards the harbour. Mini bar is unbelievably reasonably with prices...not your standard huge markups...

Hi stayed from Sunday to Friday. I am a light sleeper and I found the traffic noise unbearable. The staff were really good they changed my room twice to give me a quieter room and offered complimentary ear plugs. A1 for service. I found the room on level 7 fine, but level 6 & 5 too disruptive. If noise is...

Stayed for 1 night and wish I could've stayed longer. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in. All the staff were happy to assist. Great, cost effective meals. The steak was cooked perfectly. Full buffet breakfast. Can't recommend highly enough. Will definitely be staying again.

Stayed for two nights with a friend. We wanted to go to Mona and visit the Lark distillery so this was the perfect location. We found it was really easy to get around by foot and walked everywhere. The room was spacious with a cosy breakfast nook with a great view. The room also had a kitchenette which was handy....

From our hotel we went to the Royal Tasmanian Botanic Garden, Bonorong Animal Sanctuary, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, and the Maritime Museum due to the rain. The hotel is well located and has a decent restaurant for dinner if you are too tired to venture out.

Fountainside was very well located for everything we wanted to do without a car - great location close to the CBD, close to the wharf area and therefore the ferry and a pleasant walk to Salamanca markets. The dining room is great value. A full cooked breakfast was cheaper than the coffee and muffins we had at a nearby cafe...
