Food ok. Paper thin walls in the water view rooms. Did not sleep very well due to the noise. The complex is a bit tired. Not run down but tired. I'd rather stay somewhere else next time. Expensive for what you get. Casino small as well. Quite a way from the cbd.

Think is one of the tallest hotels in hobart. There's a casino and many restaurants. Just by the sea, very relax place to be. Casino is very small and not 24 hours, many slot machines, never see baccarat on the main floor, 2 roulette tables and 3 blackjack, not sure about the vip section though. No problem with parking. Can... More

We recently spent 4 days at Wrest Point hotel in Hobart. We found it to be very good, great location, views and service. There was feedback that the decor was a little tired but we found it to be fine and most importantly clean. Pros are it's location, accessible to most things in Hobart, great location in Sandy Bay (overlooking... More

Nice clean modern hotel, friendly reception and very obliging. Easy parking and very helpful concierge. Location is fantastic and lots to do, bars and food easily accessible at any time. The most amazing view of the whole of Hobart as we were on the 6th floor.

One could be excused from being a little turned off by the 70's architecture and decor of the Wrest Point casino, but those who plough through will reap the rewards. The rooms in the hotel tower have excellent bay views, fairly comfy beds and decent size TVs. The bathrooms have been updated and there is a small living area in... More

Anything but drab rooms. Quality fittings and drapes you don't get in so called 'modern hotels'. Stayed in the suite with breathtaking views and played mini golf on manicured greens the envy of resort style courses. The pride of the staff was something to behold and shone through in all all dealings with them. I stayed in a suite at... More

Pretty tired and drab. It looks like not much has been done in the rooms since the 70s. It was convenient to stay in the same venue as our conference and the staff were helpful and friendly but they're about the only positives. The views are great too but nevertheless, we won't be back.

The room had a lovely view of the harbour and was clean. I thought it was quite expensive for what it was in comparison to other nice hotels I have stayed at. The food at the loft bistro was nice, and even though you could not book, there wasn't too much of a wait. We paid the extra $25 for... More

Third stop on our Tassie tour --- we looked forward to staying here but were slightly underwhelmed. Check in was easy and a separate semi secure car park for guests. The room was on the first floor overlooking their other car park, a roof and some reasonable harbour views. Room was ok, nothing outstanding, not quite 4 star, but better... More
